We found the place thanks to The fork app. Usually we always got satisfied, good reviews/ good remark on the app.
Arrived there we said we booked on the fork.
Service at table was great and professional very kind staff working in a great atmosphere at the center of Rome.
Near mercato de fiori and Pantheon.
I am just very sorry for the food...
After 2 nice appetizers (bit little and expensive) we ordered 1 plate of Carbonara and 1 of Amatriciana. You really cannot fail those 2 plates if u eat in Rome, they must do them right.
Pasta in both of plate was way too salty, probably a misfortune of the chef i thought at the start, sometimes it can happen... but that was my first carbonara in the city and was a total disappontment. Also egg was not creamy at all as it should be, too much watery/liquid.
Ammatriciana had right consistency but still too salty.
There was a table near us, (probably friends with the owner) there were 3 kids doing sounds... towards the end of this lunch I even heard 1 of these kids complaing about the salt.
Even a little kid had noticed that pasta was wrong (not a mistake of my table only, they got plates much before us).
Had to order another carbonara in another restaurant the following day before eating a good roman Carbonara.
In the end when I asked to pay they made me wait more then 10/15 mins. We had to go because of a visit starting in a museum nearby. Restayrant was not extra full, i'd say 60% of olaces taken. I went inside and asked to pay.
I started to think that restaurant denied our presence on the fork so we could not leave a bad review even there...

As we walked to the restaurant my husband and l started looking at the menu and waited to be seated. Everyone that works there kept starring at us and after maybe 10-15 min someone came in and asked us if we want to sit inside or outside. We chose indoor seating. The restaurant was half empty and people that work there honestly looked miserable and hated their jobs. We got inside the restaurant and kept waiting for maybe 30-45minutes and no one came in to check in on us or ask what we wanted to order. I’ve been to so many other cities in Italy and around the world and l’ve never seen this kind of low hospitality. The funny thing is it wasn’t even busy and the waitresses saw us waiting this whole time and didn’t acknowledge us. One of them was just standing and doing nothing and saw us as well. So disappointing but l guess everything happens for reason we went around the corner and we discovered a really good seafood restaurant and definitely was treated with a warm welcome and an amazing service. Save your money and time and go somewhere else where you will be treated...

No one seemed to be interested in helping us, taking our order or giving us the bill. They were very happy to come over and take our plates after we finished but didn't want to talk to us at all when we made an attempt. The food itself was good but this place was let down by very poor service! I asked for the bill 3 times and was left waiting for 30+ mins. To make matters worse, they brought out a "birthday Tiramasu" with a candle and sang Happy Birthday but then charged me €7 for the pleasure. I didn't ask for this nor was expecting this, so why?! This added to my growing sense of frustration but was heightened when we got 20% off the bill, paid and then were told that we needed to pay more as they calculated it wrong!
