Pizzeria L'economica — Restaurant in Rome

(Tourist review) The food is actually not bad however getting said food was an absolute nightmare. We ordered takeout at a time that wasn't particularly busy hence we expected the wait to be around 10 mins however upon 20 mins passing no word from any of the staff hence I asked when the pizza would be ready. (At this point things were getting busy so the delay was expected), they said 5 mins. Another 20 mins passed and still no word, so I entered the reception and I see our pizzas on a table completely cold... For some reason the staff decided not to tell us our pizzas were ready! Not only that but they also forgot to add toppings to one of our pizzas in which upon enquiring, subsequently lead to them slapping some cold toppings onto the pizzas.

Honestly the food was quite good, however the fact that everyone around us seemed to be served before us despite us waiting for longer suggests to me that this establishment has some prejudice against foreigners. I highly don't recommend...

Delicious and cheap pizza, definitely recommend to people who have a tight budget.

The service is okay, the staff understand English, while one lady prefers to speak Italian, everyone is rather friendly. Just stand in front of the entrance and look confused and someone will definitely come and help you! I wouldn't want to be biased but I sometimes felt a bit cold and distanced attitude towards us, maybe it's because I come from another country. But as I mentioned, in general everyone is very friendly and helpful there.

We waited 40 minutes for a table, extreme busy and packed. However, packed by Romans and locals might I add! Not tourists. Our sever in the green shirt was amazing, spoke very good English and complimented my nationality and Italian. Food was amazing for the price we paid, cheapest pizza I've seen in Italy. Starters were amazing and Pizza was high quality. After a litre of wine, two pizzas and three apertisers bill was only 33 euro! Told server to round up to 38 because he was amazing.
