We stumbled across this place while searching for a different restaurant that was not located where GoogleMaps had indicated. It turned out that we were very lucky the original restaurant could not be found!

Ristorante Jole was amazing. The atmosphere, staff and food could not be better. We were so well treated by our waiter, Marco, who even took us inside to show us the ancient Roman wall that is part of the restaurant's structure.

We had the chef's nightly specials for both our appetizer and pasta and they were wonderful. The pasta had swordfish and sun dried tomatoes and was just amazing. And the wine was good as was the desert we tried. Everything was delicious and the price was very reasonable.

You will be happy you went to Ristorante Jolle! We just wish we had found it before our last night in Rome since we would have had an...

So good, we visited three times. We worked our way though a number of dishes on the menu, and all were excellent. Highlights were the polpette (meatball) starter, the fillet steak, the beef cheek, the apple and cinnamon tart (wow) and of course the pasta. The carbonara was a taste explosion - it was like being punched in the mouth (in a good way). This is a fairly small restaurant, largely serving locals. The staff speak English, so we had no issues communicating (as our Italian is bad). Food arrived quickly, and everything was well priced. Having travelled all over Italy, I would rate this restaurant in the top 3 I have visited....

Due to unlucky circumstances I was stranded in Rome in the middle of the night, trying to find a hotel that would still take me in (and failing). The owners of this restaurant were incredibly helpful and kind, trying to find a solution even though it really wasn't their problem. I can't even begin to explain what it felt like to be surrounded by such sympathetic and helpful people when you're a tourist in a big city in the middle of a crisis. I imagine that if they put the same level of commitment in their food, thrir food must be absolutely amazing. The next time I'm in Rome I'll definitely be eating here and leave...

First of all they will charge you still tap water 2,5 euros, bring you bread that you didn’t ask for 2,5 euros. The food was not worth the price, a normal amount of pasta is 12€. Pasta was undercooked, I understand the concept of al dente, but this was hard to chew. The location is not so good, the restaurant is small looks cozy. We payed 8€ for a very very small cup of tiramisu. Their signature drinks are 5€. At least the staff was pretty nice. Would not go there again, nor would recommend going to anyone. Definitely overpriced and romanticized. 🥲
