A pretty depressing experience. Our lowest food experience in 2.5 weeks in Italy. Most expensive, lowest quality, smallest wine pours we've seen.
We were charged €2/pp for bread that we didn't ask for, a first in two weeks in Italy. We ordered two glasses of Prosecco and the portion was almost comically small. I've never seen glasses this size.
The artichoke bruschetta was uninspired and used seemingly canned artichokes, smashed onto the bread. Flat flavor, no texture and cold.
The pasta was nothing special.
We ordered more wine, knowing we already made a mistake coming here but wanting to mildly drown our sorrows. Not to be dramatic but it was the one glass of wine in Italy I didn't enjoy. As close to vinegar as you can get without being a ruined wine.
Too bad. Honestly the first restaurant we didn't like in our over two weeks in Italy. And it was more expensive than any quality dinner we've had.
All that being said, it's not the staff's fault. Accommodating and overworked, they're trying.
I noticed various TripAdvisor stickers and what seemed like "certifications" but upon closer inspection seems like they were just stickers from TripAdvisor and maybe some sort of print out for a 4/5 star review.
If you need an example of a tourist trap, this is it. Less than 5 minutes from one of the most beloved restaurants in Trastevere, it preys upon the people as they leave Enzo's empty handed and serves them an overpriced, undersized, less than fresh 'Italian'...

Pros: Cute sitting area, decent selection of food, portion
Cons: slow and bad service, additional ‘hidden’ costs (€5 for two people), drink quality
We went here because we couldn’t find anything that wasn’t closing at 15:00. Sat down, got no menus, just a QR code to scan that showed a broken website missing half a menu (menus were given to a table across ours, so they do exist).
A man came to take our order, we gave him our food order and asked for a drink menu. He gave it to us, we said we needed a few minutes to pick a drink and asked if he can come back in a minute or two, which he agreed. He never came back so we had to hail another waiter. We got a bread and focaccia basket with a few olives, a bit of cured meat and cheese and fried zucchini - consider this your starter as you will pay for it even if you didn’t ask!
We finally got our food, the pasta was al-dente and my carbonara was decent. My partner’s pasta was also good. The prosecco and wine were mediocre.
There are definitely better options in the area though and the wait time and service were pretty disappointing, alongside the additional fees (see receipt photo - €5 for ...
Read moreService and atmosphere were lovely. Food was middling at best. We had the anchovy, tomato, bruschetta, as well as the Linguine Limone and Caccio e Peppe, the latter based on one of the reccomendations below (the lady lied or had her taste buds removed). The anchovies were canned, not the typical Italian style served on bruschetta. The pasta was a little bland, the water wasn't salted and some pieces were undercooked. The sauce didn't stick, which leads me to believe that it wasn't finished properly. Regardless, there are better places I'm sure. Oh, we had the pizza too. The crust was just a bit too tough, enough to notice and it wasn't saved by the toppings. Overall it wasn't the worst we've had. Unfortunately this was a miss. However, the house wine was good and the service and atmosphere really was lovely. The manager was terrific, they were very friendly and gave us complimentary limoncello. If you're in the area and don't really have options, then try this place. It seems...
