The food at Ristorante Vittoria was truly terrific—authentic Italian dishes and great flavors. Unfortunately, the service experience left a lot to be desired. While we chose the restaurant for its Italian cuisine in Rome, we were surprised to be asked several times if we understood that it was not a Chinese restaurant and that they only served Italian food. It became clear the place was Chinese-owned and seemed to prefer serving Asian customers. After confirming we did, in fact, want Italian food, we were reluctantly seated. My husband and I had dinner for our last night in Rome. We sat outside since the weather was really nice. We had the baby octopus in tomato sauce with bread, which didn’t have any fishy smell. It was delicious! Then we had the salmon and potatoes which was moist and amazing. Simple seasoning of garlic, salt and balsamic vinegar. And finally we shared a pasta dish made with white wine, pomodoro sauce with veal. We ate dinner here We had pasta and it wasn’t bad although the service was HORRIBLE! Once we came in and sat down the waiters came to us twice, both times we said we weren’t ready to order and they were frustrated. Then after a couple of mins we WERE ready to order and this time no waiter came when we flagged them down. After we did order it took around 10-15 minutes for the food to come. We ordered some pasta and a big side salad to share. After we ate the pasta we finished and we were going to leave, we then realised we didn’t receive our salad. It finally came 5 minutes after we finished eating the pasta.

I wouldn’t recommend this to you, but you might have a better experience then me so go there at your own risk.

Abbiamo cenato qui Avevamo la pasta e non era male anche se il servizio era ORRIBILE! Una volta che siamo entrati e ci siamo seduti, i camerieri sono venuti da noi due volte, entrambe le volte abbiamo detto che non eravamo pronti per ordinare ed erano frustrati. Poi dopo un paio di minuti eravamo pronti per ordinare e questa volta non è arrivato nessun cameriere quando li abbiamo segnalati. Dopo aver ordinato, ci sono voluti circa 10-15 minuti prima che arrivasse il cibo. Abbiamo ordinato della pasta e una grande insalata di lato da condividere. Dopo aver mangiato la pasta che abbiamo finito e stavamo per partire, ci siamo resi conto di non aver ricevuto la nostra insalata. Finalmente è arrivato 5 minuti dopo aver finito di mangiare la pasta.
