We have had much better versions of all these things elsewhere. This was a last minute find as all the other places near here we looked at ended up being closed.

The gnocchi was good although light on the meat. The cacio e pepe was the bad though, don't get it. I wouldn't order the zuchinni flowers again.

The menu is not reflective of what they give you for the dessert. We asked for the sour cherry and ricotta cheesecake. The waiter was confused and said it was NY style cheesecake, and when we asked to clarify, they didn't understand. It was a weird amalgamation. We were looking for the Roman Jewish sour cherry ricotta cheesecake. What we got was amerena cocktail cherries on top of NY style cheesecake baked with ricotta (NY style cheesecake is made with Philadelphia style cream cheese). Se potessi toglierei anche l'unica stella, ma non è previsto....esperienza pessima dall'inizio alla fine.... Attratte dell'arredamento curato e dalla vicinanza alla Basilica di San Giovanni, io e mia figlia scegliamo questo ristorante. Chiedo al cameriere se è possibile avere una carbonara senza pecorino (lo so, è un ingrediente fondamentale ma sono allergica), altrimenti prendo altro e lui mi assicura che non ci sono problemi, si può fare tranquillamente. Porta la mia carbonara, e all'assaggio mi accorgo che è stata cucinata con una bella dose di pecorino. Lo faccio presente ad un altro cameriere che mi dice che non possono farla senza il formaggio, che è contro la tradizione, ecc... chiedo allora un'amatriciana, raccomandandomi di non mettere formaggio. Dopo una buona mezz'ora viene il cameriere con due piatti per i nostri vicini di tavolo e si accorge che la mia amatriciana è stata data a loro... hanno scambiato gli ordini. Scarto l'opzione pasta e chiedo allora i saltimbocca alla romana. Dopo poco si presenta con due pezzettini di saltimbocca, scusandosi per l'accaduto e dicendo che questo piatto mi viene offerto, non dovrò pagarlo. Li per li mi meraviglio che la porzione sia così misera ( i piatti che vedo servire agli altri tavoli sono molto abbondanti), ma lascio correre. Chiediamo poi un contorno, le zucchine alla scapece, presente nel menù Dopo una ventina di minuti, torna il cameriere dicendo che è terminata. Non potevano dirlo al momento dell'ordine? E siamo a tre. Al che ordiniamo un altro contorno. Al conto, ci chiedono come è andata e per non fare polemica non racconto la disavventura. Paghiamo 29€ e qualcosa per un primo, un contorno e una bottiglia d'acqua, costo assolutamente non adeguato sia per la qualità del cibo che per il servizio offerto. Visionando poi, tornata a casa, il loro profilo Instagram vedo che la porzione dei saltimbocca fotografata è più del doppio di quella che mi hanno portato, facendola passare come un modo per farsi perdonare. Mi sono sentita presa in giro ed ho deciso di raccontare la mia esperienza, pentendomi di non averlo fatto presente al momento del conto e sperando che dagli errori la gestione possa fare tesoro per migliorare.... Bad food: The entry was good. I ordered the Mozzarella di bufala which was tasty and the tomatoes were well seasoned. For the main course I ordered the Rigatoni alla Gricia and the pasta was undercooked, the sauce was VERY salty and the bacon tasted like trippa. Also, for some reason the wines were ridiculously overpriced 12 € for a GLASS of red wine. No cheaper options and they only tell you the price of the bottle. Bad atmosphere: although they have many tables in a small space, it's not very cozy and the music is very bad. Makes it an unconfortable place to hang out.
