We went to this place after a recommendation from a local. Lemon millefuille really nice. Pistachio cannoli really nice. Espresso had this weird foamy top that others say but I liked the taste. I liked the decor. Place was really busy. We ordered a coffee and we were asked if we are ok to have it at the bar. We said yes. Once we asked for a take away cup the barista rolled his eyes and gave us a plastic cup that you would usually put a cold drink, a clear plastic cup. When we asked for a paper cup for hot drinks he said you can’t do that. 🥲My wife showed him what cup we want, and he asked for €1. We gave the one euro and then he transferred the content to the takeaway cup. I don’t have an issue with charging for take away cups. Some innovative and exciting coffee shops in London (where we came from) stopped having single use cups, with success. My issue is the rudeness of the barista. He could just have said politely that to have our coffee in a takeaway cup we need to pay €1 and this would have resulted in a 4 star review. My wife left in tears from the fact that She was told off when she tried to sat in one of the tables outside Treated badly when we just asked for takeaway cup. 1 star from me. You can’t treat your customers like that. I see from previous comments you are proud for your family heritage on coffee. All I can say is that you can and...

I was strolling through the streets of Rome, looking for something to take home as a souvenir on my last day, when I passed by Sant’ Eustachio il Caffè. By the door I saw a stack of panettoni neatly organized. The store looked amazing, the variety of coffees and pastries was an overload of sensations. The decor and ambiance were inviting. But what had really caught my eye were the panettoni at the door. I bought iand brought one to the US, as a Christmas present for some friends. When they opened their present, they kindly shared a slice with me.

Oh boy, if I regret giving away this panettone. It is frankly the best panettone I have had in my life, and I mean that. The coffee caramel sauce inside, the chocolate chips, the dough were superb. I ate my portion and had to steal a second serving.

It is so delicious that I ran to the website to see if I could order and ship to the US but unfortunately they don’t have this as an item you could purchase online.

If you are in Rome during Christmas and are reading this review, do yourself a favor and buy, not one, not two, but a whole lot of these panettoni; eat and share them. Your family and friends will love you for it. Your mouth and belly will thank you too!...

Beware of this coffee shop's questionable policies and lack of respect for customers. Recently, my experience there was beyond disappointing. I ordered two cappuccinos and croissants to go, intending to enjoy them while walking to another destination. Despite the fact that we only briefly sat at one of their outdoor tables to check our map and plan our route, we were suddenly approached and told we had to pay an outrageous 8 euro “service fee" for utilizing their seating area.

Let's break this down: the total cost of our order was around 10 euros, and they had the audacity to demand an additional 8 euros for essentially nothing. No service was provided, the table we occupied was clear, no dishes, no crumbs, it was as clean as all the others empty tables. In fact, while I was there paying for the “service”, a new customer came and sat at the table without any issue. When I asked the cashier about the fee, he seemed confused, but at the same moment, the same employee rushed over and whispered something in his ear. Then the cashier billed me with 8 euros. It’s seems very questionable, unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright deceitful. Save your money and avoid this dishonest establishment...
