If you ever find yourself craving rice while in Vatican City, this nearby Filipino restaurant is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. It’s slightly tucked away, but not hard to find if you’re up for a bit of a walk from St. Peter’s Basilica. And honestly, after all the sightseeing and walking, a good hearty Filipino meal hits the spot!

We ordered the pork adobo (some might call it humba), and it was cooked just right—tender, flavorful, and comforting, just like how it’s made back home. We also tried the ginataang tambakol (tuna cooked in coconut milk), and were pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. It had the right balance of richness and flavor, and truly exceeded our expectations.

What really stood out were the portion sizes. They don’t hold back—especially with the rice! The servings are big enough to satisfy anyone who’s been out walking all day. Their combo meals are also a great deal, and they even let you swap out your drink—juice, soda, or water, whichever you prefer.

Service was straightforward and friendly, and the food came out in good time. All in all, this place is a solid pick for anyone missing Filipino comfort food. You’ll leave...

i've been hearing about this restaurant from friends and i wanted to try eating here but unfornately its a big disappointment. Place is clean, but the food are not cook as you order. some seems were cooked a day or 2 before. they are only heating the foods that you order and they are not heating them properly, they heat just the surface, i ordered longsilog and the longganisa looked like its a left over. i worked at the karinderia of my nanay in manila up to various fastfoods and expensive restaurants in pasay, Greenhils san juan and makati philippines as a kitchen helper and as a cook so i know what im talking about. the price is not that reasonable. if you don't want water w/your menu, you can replace it but you have...

A male cashier was in the middle of taking my order, explaining the menu, but one of the cooks named Ate Vangie kept on asking him for several things like get soda for her, and get some ice. We were in the middle of a transaction and I am a customer yet she kept rudely interrupting us. I found this to be very unprofessional and distracting. It was also very disrespectful not just to me, but to the cashier who was obviously embarrassed at what's happening. Well dining, I can hear her yapping in the kitchen, ordering everyone around. She needs to learn how to keep the place professional. I will definitely...

Love this place and their friendly staff. The food is very authentic with big portion! If you are bored with pizza and pasta and would like something with rice or asian food, Philippines to be exact, you should try this place. Located nearby Vatican and they do have another branch which does take away only. Very pocket friendly price. With the amount of food you get, quality and awesomeness, it is totally worth it. They also offer a free soup and you can add as much as you like. The soup is very delicious too. Perfect for this cold weather. They also sell dessert.

After 4 days of Italian food, it was time to branch out and very delighted to find Sarap so close to Ottaviano Metro stop for the Vatican. Jumbo helped us pick the right dishes and we ended up with Pancit and Pork BBQ. They were combo meals which meant we got a nice portion of rice and a bottle of water. Both dishes were freshly made, nicely presented, and as the restaurant name suggests, MASARAP! And it was very reasonably priced, too. Thank you Vangie for a great authentic meal. Salamat po!
