I don't enjoy leaving this review, but I think it should be done. We had dinner at this restaurant around 19:30, sat outside. There were several young women bussing tables, but only one waiter taking orders for what appeared to be the entire restaurant. The result was extremely slow service.
I heard the table next to us request to order at least twice, but one of the bus women would simply say ok and walk off, presumably to let the one waiter know. I feel bad for the guy, because it is hard to serve an entire restaurant as one person. Why any one of the women could not have written down an order is beyond me.
It took about 15 minutes for us to just receive a menu. I have no issues with the menu itself, traditional Italian food with a bit of Roma influence adding more seafood options. There was confusion between I think everyone i could hear order wine as the wine menu was bottle only, however they do have a selection of glass wine. The issue was that the wine one may order by the glass is not on the wine menu. Both myself and several other tables seemed to experience this confusion because we tried to order a glass of wine to be told that those are not available by glass. My recommendation to staff is to either specify this on the menu itself, or to provide which wines are available by glass on a separate menu. I imagine it likely rotates because of what is open and available, but the issue is that the customers have no idea. If each one of your tables is asking the same question, perhaps it is best to codify this information somewhere on the wine menu or have one of the other staff that for some reason cannot take orders explain this upon...
Read moreWas here for dinner and honestly I was quite disappointed at the quality of the food vs the price paid. I stayed for quite some days in Rome and this was my most expensive dinner and unfortunately also the worst one from all the places I tried. The pasta was way too salty and you could barely feel it was a sea food pasta. I seriously have never tried such an over-salted pasta ina restaurant in Italy. My only idea is that they over-salt to make up for the lack in flavor. On top of that the portion was quite small, and it took ages to arrive. The service was quite nice (hence two stars) and the interior of the restaurant looks good, but the food was overall disappointing and really NOT worth it. Was quite keen to try a second dish and dessert as well but after those terrible pasta dishes (mine and the 2 other people in the table with me) we all...
Read moreVery very cute restaurant right in the center, but still super calm and idyllic atmosphere. We spend the entire evening there with a starter, a bottle of wine, main course and a dessert - even played some board games in between and no one was annoyed. The service is fast, kind and the recommendations about the wine is helpful and full of knowledge! We loved it! The Primitivo red wine is a big recommendation, it was AMAZING. Beef Carpaccio was good. The bread was great. Pesto Pasta with Burrata were insanely delicious. Tuna with Roman chicory was one of the best tunas I had so far in my life. Wow! And the final: Tiramisu - what a great way to end this amazing dinner. The price was 84€ with copo for all of it - so absolutely fair.
To sum up: Amazing and romantic little Restaurant. Not too busy and crowded as the...
