I wish I could say a lot about Tempio, but unfortunately I got what its meant one of the worst experiences ever! I have traveled from Rome to Salerno, Sorrento, Amalfi, Vitre Sul Mare , Napoli, and I have tryed all kind of italian food and service was allways above în all the restaurants I was eating.. tonight I have experience from the first encounter the worst experience ever.. from getting pushed by the waiter to sit on a table without any setup (cuttlery, wine glasses or water to plates) to get dirty water glasses and when replaced to get slammed on the table! To get looks and seeing the waiter feeling annoyed because we are not more then two people and its just me and my girlfriend(I have seen how he treats the people who are in a group and how he treat people who are sitting by two and not ordering a lot) getting vissible angry because we talk english and not italian (I am romanian and my girlfriend american) ! As a part of doing hes job and checking on everione and each customer if they're good and if they need something else, it just came at the end when we have to pay and for the rest of the night never.. more then this we could have seen how he goes around and place bread for everione except us! Its shows a lot of Unprofesionalism and lack of experience and racism towards customers and different nationalities!
As a top attitude it was when we left and we left just a tip of 5 euro because the service was disaster and discriminating, he was shouting at hes collegues that he got only 5 euro! I'm sorry but în order to get good tips, you need to take care of the customers and allways treat everyone fair and good!
For the old waiter who had "served" us I hope you will get treated the same wherever you travel and its shamefull you put such a good restaurant down with your attitude and behaviour!
Thank you for not wanting me to get again în...
Read moreI recall, this was yet another memmorable dining-out experiences in Rome, that our family of three, enjoyed very much. It was way past 9.00pm and we were ravenous, especially after a whole day of sightseeing and not stopping once for a proper meal and, in doubt whether any restaurant could serve up main courses at that late hour, that would satisfy our palate. The hotel we stayed in, Napoleon Roma, had recommended this restaurant and phoned ahead to ensure the availability of a table when we arrived. When we approached, we noted a large group dining outside under the canopies and were heartened by the fact that it was almost full even though late. It took them a few minutes to sort out who we were and that Hotel Napoleon had phoned ahead to book a table. The ambience was good, setting was pleasant if not grand, but everything looked very clean and it was fairly full without being over-crowded. The entrees and the mains were all served very timely and they were well presented like we have come to expect in all Italian restaurants, which is a true testimony to this magnificent city and people who have a marvellous food culture. Even though we were hungry enough to have gorged on any food put on the table, we would have noticed if any of the items served, were below par. They did not dissapoint us. The food was well presented, clean and tastly and the quantities, very generous. The grilled Seafood ( I think it was Scampi) was the highlight and, at the end, the bill was reasonable. Our family would go back to 'Mecenate' again next time we are in Rome, without a doubt. We would also recommend them to our friends & family. Thank you, 'Mecenate staff' for making our dining experience memorable. And "THANK YOU" to management of Hotel Napoleon for the excellent recommendation. Don Rukantha Family Sydney, Australia

Read moreWorst service I've ever experienced!!! The waiter didn't want to hear what we wanted by suggesting 'don't look at the menu just order whatever beer/drink' (pushy and rude). The waiter still came to the table with the wrong drink. After ordering food. We waited 30-40 mins for our meal, whislt watching people being seated, served and food delivered to them before us. ( We ordered pizza & lasagne.... There was steak coming out before our meal ) the waiter ended up getting my partners meal wrong three times and mine wrong once. When we asked for the bill they charged us for three extra items we didn't ask for or even offered e.g water etc. and After my partner complained the same waiter came to me complaining and being rude about my partner. Extremely unprofessional! After finally sorting out the bill , as we were about to leave peacefully also apologising on our behalf (which wasn't need, just being polite) the same waiter that served us turned even more rude telling us to 'go away!' This is our 1st trip to Rome as a couple, expecting to receive a welcoming service, as it is the centre tourist attraction.. and we left feeling disgusted and most likely...
