It was a cold and rainy evening in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy. The streets were illuminated by the warm glow of the streetlights and the smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. Among the bustling streets, there stood a small yet charming bar called Bar Allo Statuto, located on Via Leopardi, 62.
The bar was a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, known for its delicious coffee and mouth-watering pastries. The owner, Sofia, had inherited the bar from her father who had passed away a few years ago. She was determined to keep her father's legacy alive and make the bar a place where people could not only enjoy delicious food and drinks but also feel at home.
As Sofia was setting up the bar for the evening rush, she noticed a young woman standing outside, shivering from the cold and looking lost. Sofia immediately went up to her and asked if she needed any help. The woman introduced herself as Isabella, a tourist who had lost her way and was in desperate need of a warm drink.
Sofia welcomed Isabella into the bar and offered her a seat near the fireplace. As they chatted, Isabella couldn't help but notice the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the bar. It was as if she had stepped into a different world, away from the chaos of the city.
Isabella was so enamored by the bar and its ambiance that she decided to stay for dinner. Sofia, being a gracious host, cooked up a delicious meal for Isabella and they continued to chat and get to know each other. Isabella told Sofia about her travels and how she had always dreamed of visiting Rome.
As the night went on, more and more people started to come into the bar, seeking refuge from the cold and rain. Sofia and Isabella were kept busy, serving drinks and food to the customers. Isabella couldn't help but notice how Sofia knew every customer by name and how she made sure that everyone felt welcomed and comfortable.
As the night came to an end, Isabella thanked Sofia for her hospitality and said she would never forget her experience at Bar Allo Statuto. Sofia, with a warm smile, handed her a business card and told her that she was always welcome to come back.
A few days later, Isabella returned to the bar, this time with her friends. She told them all about her experience at Bar Allo Statuto and how she had never felt more at home in a foreign land. From that day on, Bar Allo Statuto became a must-visit spot for Isabella and her friends whenever they were in Rome.
Word of the bar's welcoming atmosphere and delicious food spread quickly, and soon, it became a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Sofia's hard work and dedication paid off, and she was able to keep her father's legacy alive.
To this day, Bar Allo Statuto continues to be a place where people from all walks of life come together, share stories, and enjoy the warmth and comfort of a home away from home. And Sofia, with a warm smile and a cup of hot coffee, greets every customer at the door, just like...
Read moreAs a pizza enthusiast, I am happy to say that this was my favorite pizza in Italy, and one of my favorites on the planet. Bar allo Statuto's pizza does not easily conform with the well-known categories of pizza. It is an improvement on them. Needless to say it's worlds better than the al taglio stuff you find all over the city. I also wouldn't call it a pizza tonda, seeing that the dough has more bite and complexity. It's not quite neapolitan either; no need for that excessive moisture and limp crust. The flavors were solid too; nothing extraordinary, just solid, tangy tomato sauce and balanced toppings. The anchovies weren't too salty, either. Exactly what you want in a pizza.
As for the atmosphere, five stars here, too. I sat next to a local family, two old men sipping their espresso, and a couple international students; it's a mixed crowd here. The space is comfortable and quirky, and the staff is outstanding.
Just don't tell everyone about this place. I wanna come back next time...
Read moreExtremely rude and racist male member of staff working at 9:30pm on the 29th September. Went in and sat down on an empty table and just before the nice lady took our order, the rude male server told us to get up and leave as the table was “reserved”. Strange as there was no indication of this but we said we would come back later. An hour later we came back and sat at another empty table and was told this time that we couldn’t sit there as apparently the people were outside smoking, but nothing left on the table at all to imply it was occupied. We were rudely told to leave and when I was walking out the man started shouting at me accusing me of swearing at him which is completely untrue. I work in hospitality and would never disrespect waiting staff or dream of treating my customers in such a way. A massive shame as our previous experiences here with other staff have been great as well as the food. Management should address/ get rid of this disgusting...
