My friend and I came here a couple of days ago and loved everything about the restaurant, thinking we had the perfect experience. We came back again tonight and the food was so good, I was legitimately tearing up. I feel like I had ascended to the Heavens.
The first time, we had Regu Bolognese, Fried Veggies, and Pumpkin Ravioli. Highly recommend them all. 10/10
The second time, we had Smoked Salmon Salad and Seafood Gnocchi. Both again, 10/10. We had the Zucchini Fritter as the appetizer and it was so unique, I have never had anything like it in my life, I'm not even sure how to describe it so you'll have to try it for yourself! 10/10 Highly recommend.
Lastly, I was pretty full, but wanted to try the Tiramisu. The first bite...was so powerful...my friend (who doesn't even like tiramisu) decided to try a bite just based off the look on my face...and then ate half of it. Yeah. No matter how good you think it could possibly be...multiple it by 10,000...it's that good. Infinity/10
Tldr: Book a plane, train, car, bus, subway or RUN here NOW.
P.s. they have lights on the patio. Super romantic or just great for ig,...
Read moreFirst night in Rome was an absolute success at Zia Rilla!! Outdoor tables which we love. We ordered spinach and ricotta ravioli and the Gracia pasta - we wanted a bottle of red wine that was out of stock but we’re recommended another.
Potato flan was delicious, well seasoned and juicy pieces of pork on the top. All of the food was 10/10 or more. Both pastas were absolutely made in house and cooked to perfection, sage butter was to die for and the Gracia was perfect for a tired couple.
The wine was a recommendation of our waiter, and was perfect with our dinner, he listened to our needs and provided.
All of the staff were knowledgeable, happy to talk and recommend (in both English and Italian).
Even the toilets.. cute baskets for the papers, nice soaps and ornaments throughout. The attention to detail really makes a difference 🙌🏼
We love it here! Recommend...
Read moreCame here as part of a cooking class/food tour. The owner provided demos of how they make some food (including tiramisu, gnocchi, and ravioli). However, at multiple points, he licked food directly off his finger (including tiramisu mixture and ravioli filling) and immediately started using his hands again (licked fingers included) without washing them. Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic practices! Steer clear.
Gave a second star only because the food cooked by the chef (the gnocchi and ravioli we prepared, with sauces) was delicious — nothing to do...
