I must update this review since the manager has returned. Food is excellent as Is the house red. Great friendly service at reasonable prices too. Well done guys!

We have visited Salerno 4 times and often dined here when the management and staff were excellent. But we were very disappointed with our experience this time. We were asked about water and received it, then nothing happened for 40 minutes. Previously they had a scanable menu they brought to the table. I only realised when I saw people scanning it outside that this was what we were meant to do! I can't review the food or wine because we didn't have any of either! I had to go and sit outside to try to cool off as it was a very humid night. I asked if we could change to an outside table but was told they were all booked and the waiter then "tried" to turn on any of the 3 air conditioning units but they were not working. They did apologise as we left and didn't charge for the bread and olive dip or water and I did say we would return the following evening but on reflection we decided that the whole experience was such a let down that we would draw a line under it and not return. A pity indeed
