This will be your culinary highlight in Siena. Hands down the best restaurant we have had the pleasure to visit here. We tried out a couple of other places before going to Osteria da gano and they were ok, but always left us slightly dissatisfied. This restaurant, however, ticked all the boxes! Great staff, great food! 10/10 would re-visit if i happen to be in Siena again in the future. Every dish was perfectly balanced in a way so that one was able to taste all the individual ingredients. We had the eggplant starter with the pici cacio e pepe as primi piati and the filet with pecorino as a main course. I am getting hungry again just writing about it :) Definitely also try the home made deserts. Mama mia, just go...

The carbonara was quite poor with it been on the verge of scrambled eggs and not as the description on the menu with zucchini but spring onion. The pici noodles, however, were good. Reasonable price but I think there is better value to be...

To get in, you must be here on the dot or otherwise try your luck. We arrived at 7pm. By 7:10 it was full. We kicked off with a great conversation with the two staff. We enjoyed pasta alla carbonara (e cavolo nero), uova al tegamino (how good did this look! Alix chose it…), baccalà, pici al cavolo nero e pancetta, insalata di trippa (yum!). Really this is the right mix of casual, good food, local feel, and...
