La Fenice — Restaurant in Sorrento

I never write reviews for any restaurant ,I’m writing one for this restaurant as I’ve experienced rudeness and disrespect with one of the waiters. I had linguine and my girlfriend had ravioli ,the food was very good (compliments to the chef) then we started to wait for our individual pizzas, then waited 45 minutes to an hour and nothing came, when I asked our elderly waiter when the pizza was going to come he slammed the menu in his hand on the table, he said it was going to come in an angry undertone, then we waited another half an hour and nothing came. At that point we missed out on our plans that we had on the night time, we wanted to leave and pay for our food that we ate, the food came a few minutes later but we still wanted to leave, the elderly male waiter brushed us off with his hands and said give them boxes for the pizzas. The lady at the counter was nice, the chefs did great with our food, the other waiters seem respectful, it was simply the one elderly male waiter (with hair) that we found...

Agree with the other poor reviews. We went here one night when what looks like a tour group had just arrived and were told the kitchen will likely take an hour for food to come out. We decided to get some drinks and wait anyway.

After 15 mins or so with no one coming by to take our drink order, we decided we might as well go elsewhere since we had not yet ordered and were hungrier than we thought.

We apologized to the gentlemen at the front desk and said we would return another night.

We returned the next night and ended up having a delicious meal until I realized, looking at the other pics online, that our dishes were severely lacking in quantity in comparison. As in, one of our dishes was 1/4 or 1/2 of what it should have been.

There are SO many other places to eat that aren’t out to gouge dumb tourists that don’t know any better.

We always try to be kind, considerate and conscientious visitors.

Decided to wait for this restaurant to open at 7pm because they claim to have wood fire pizza. The atmosphere is nice but the patio is next to a busy road. They almost seemed upset we came in at 7.00. The waiter (bald short middle age man with glasses) was very rude and border line disrespectful. Made us feel very uncomfortable. He seemed so frustrated we ordered food first and wanted to order drinks after but he never came back. Never checked on us or our food. The other waiter that was cleaning our table as we left, asked if we enjoyed our meal because I only ate a few bites of my pasta. I said it was so so because the pizza was okay but my gnocchi was awful and had no flavour. The tomato sauce was more orange than red. There was cheese in it but...
