I recently had the pleasure of visiting Prosciutteria and it was absolutely delightful from start to finish. Here's why I give it 5 stars:

I did a lot of research and was really sold by the history and 3rd generational operation of this place. My family was in the mood for some steak and it seemed like a great place to go for that. The menu on the website showed 7 different steak options so I was sure that we’d be able to find something.

Waited for drinks for a very long time Major language barrier which I am fine with considering we are in another country but much more than any of the 12 cities we have visited while in Italy. Asked about specials or suggestions and none were given. Asked about wine and nothing was provided in terms of suggested.

Reserved a table for 5. Was given a table in the back of the restaurant near the bathroom and with a large flat screen tv on the wall next to us playing a basketball game. Not at all the atmosphere that was depicted on their website.

Two of us ordered a sliced steak medium and they came out well done.

Two of my daughters split the t bone and ordered it medium. Came out medium rare to rare. Asked to have it brought to medium. They brought out a skillet with a candle under so we could cook it ourselves to the temp we would like. Which wasn’t a big deal and turned out fine. But quality of meat was fatty and very disappointing.

My boyfriend and I dined here last night for dinner and drinks. The night started out pleasant, drinks and bruschetta appetizer came out quick. When the waiter delivered our pasta meals almost 1 hour later he set mine down then took my boyfriends back to the kitchen without a word. We were both hoping to eat our meals together so we asked how long it would take they said a couple minutes. They proceeded to bring out his meal 15 minutes later and it was the wrong dish for the second time. Not only did he bring the wrong meal, but he was the one who recommended that specific dish when we asked. No apology for the time delay - we are understanding that sometimes things don’t run smoothly with a sit down dinner experience however their struggles were not communicated to us and no apology for the wait.
