A previous time in Sorrento I saw this place and I couldn’t visit it but the decoration attracts me. So I visited this time and definitely I wouldn’t recommend it. Once that you’re seated you pay attention to the decoration and looks not so nice but old and even cheap, let’s say. The star of the house is an elder waiter calls Mimi (Domenico) who with his histrionic style would do anything to get people in to the restaurant. I personally avoid this kind of services but I let Mimi involved me because I was anyway on my way to get in to the place. But again I wouldn’t recommend it, particularly because of the food. I asked for some fish and I had to finish because I think is bad manners not to finish a meal as anyway was nothing “wrong” with the food but really not a good kitchen. Then when I visited the toilet I took a look into the kitchen and in general I could say that is nothing but a tourists trap. Avoid it and have a better meal in...
Read moreAmazing! The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. When you place your order they bring nibbles to your table for you to enjoy while you wait for your meal (at no extra cost). The food is very tasty. Last night we had pizza which was amazing. I had gluten free pizza and unlike many I've tried, this one tasted like a proper pizza. After such a good meal yesterday, and the three of us finding it hard to choose from the vast menu we went back again today. This time we had pasta...delicious! Again mine was gluten free and the best I've had. I went for carbonara, it was lovely and creamy and the bacon was perfect. When asking for the cheque we were given a teeny cone filled with ice cream (again at no extra cost). So not only was rhe food amazing but the friendly, welcoming staff and all the extra touches (including no hidden service charge) this place is a...
Read moreThis is the most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to, especially the waiter's attitude. The hairless guy who appeared in other reviewer's photo is a discriminator. He ordered a Tiramisu with Gelato which does not even exist on the menu for me and charged €10, not the €7 one I showed him on the menu. I pointed it out and he said it's in the new menu which I think might not exist. And he said he was sorry but I had already finished so I have to pay for his mistake, maybe not a mistake for him. And after I gently asked him about the problem, his attitude became really bad and did not want to look at my face.
I've lived in France for 2 years and been in Italy for more than 10 times, thia is the first time I met such situation. I don't think other Sorrento people are like him such rude and with discrimination, so shame on him and...
