Tourist trap - We picked this restaurant for a drink and appetiser (antipasto platter) We received the antipasto platter and noticed that there were extra ingredients on the plate but we thought that I must have ordered the wrong plate or that it just came with extras (which wasn’t uncommon with other meals we had ordered in the previous days in Italy. We are tourists trying to navigate the Italian menus)After 5 minutes of eating the platter, the waitress comes over stating “that’s not what you ordered.” As we had started eating the meats and cheese, we were polite and said that it was okay and not to worry as we are pretty easy going. We left the food items we didn’t want on the plate. Anyway, the bill came out with the dish we didn’t order ($9 more expensive then what we did order). The waiter said If we didn’t want it we should have sent it back to the kitchen. We aren’t the ones who made the mistake and tried to assist the restaurant by not having their food sent back and chucked in the bin, for them to have to send out the correct plate. Refused to change the bill - such bad customer service. Do not go here. So many more authentic good customer service...
Read moreAs we're checking out menus - and looking for a particular restaurant near by - we for pulled in to this place - the waiters practically called you in. We sat and thr service was prompt but noticed factory like atmosphere where people were seated, fed and let loose in efficient manner without a hint of hospitality or familiarity. We had to wait for one other person so it took a bit to get the order despite their prompt attention to order. The food is mediocre at best - my salad was watery (hey at least they washed the greens) and had ingredients I didn't recognize (maybe fennel? Or cabbage core?) and the chicken in the salad was rubbery, like supermarket frozen chicken. The pasta with salmon did have bits of salmon but tasted somewhat like Kradt Mac and Cheese. Tomatoes and mozzarella had no dressing just slices of unevenly cut cheese with tomatoes (tomatoes were ripe an dgood though) chicken parm was paper thin and definitely not made fresh. Please be careful not ti get pulled in to this place which takes up most of the sqaure and the adjacent domes aeaa. You can get better food just about...
Read more1 star A deeply disappointing dining experience. In my opinion: From start to finish, my meal at this restaurant was profoundly underwhelming. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, and what arrived at the table was virtually inedible: the dough was severely undercooked, gummy in texture, and unpleasant to eat. The toppings fared no better — the pineapple and tomato sauce tasted unmistakably canned, and the ham was dry and lifeless, lacking any freshness or quality. To their credit, the restaurant did not charge us for the pizza, which unfortunately was the only redeeming gesture of the evening.
The two cannellonis we ordered were no improvement. The filling had a texture and flavor disturbingly reminiscent of canned pet food — dense, overly processed, and entirely unappetizing. Despite leaving most of the dish untouched, we were still charged for the cannelloni, which only added insult to an already disappointing experience. I believe , no one should subject themselves to a of this standard. Food should nourish and delight — this was neither. I would strongly advise others to...
