Just had a meal at this restaurant with my husband on our holiday and it has got to be the worst experience of a restaurant ever and we are both in our 50s and been on many holidays . We are not complainers and a quiet couple who will accept things go wrong and are very easy going. We arrived at 8.30pm and thought it looked like a nice menu the waiter gave us a menu each and then took one back and said he would get us another one he never did, yet we just shared one. We then had the table set and a bottle of water given -by 9.30pm after asking a young lady waitress could we be served she said she would not be long/ then a man waiter as he had served five other tables before us and we arrived first / we do not know what we had done wrong and finally another waiter very stroppy said we are very busy I said we understand this, but did not even have a drink yet and please could we have some water ( we never got it) I then asked how long the steak would take he shrugged and said long as it takes maybe 60 minutes/ we opted for lasagne which took another half an hour with still no drink hence we ate it very quickly and paid £40 - no apology whatsoever idea why we had such bad treatment we were going for our anniversary meal ! Not good 😌 1 and a half hours to eat lasagna and some fries and be treated dreadful like we had done something wrong dragging to many people in and not being able to cope need to get a...

Shortly after being sat in a suffocatingly hot restaurant we asked if we could be moved to an outside table, due to the heat inside, the waiter who I believe was an owner- literally screamed at us “oh my god” and walked away. Needless to say, we guessed, he would not agree to move us! The food tasted decent, but I got a 24£ Piece of steak plunked in middle of plate without so much as a vegy or potato, or even a garnish. The waiter had asked us on arrival if we wanted sparking water or still, we replied still, but were brought two carafes of tap water and when the bill came we were shocked to see we were charged €6 for tap water, €2 per person, and a separate €2 ‘cover charge’ per person. We have had such an incredible experience in Italy, fine food, gracious, welcoming, friendly staff and great experiences everywhere…. Just not at this establishment! These folks are in the wrong business! Rude, nasty and no idea how to be hosts!...

We stumbled upon O' Schizzariello and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Sorrento.
From the very first bite, it was clear this place is all about tradition and passion. We had the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina – perfectly soft, rich in flavor, and baked to golden perfection with fresh mozzarella and basil. Absolutely unforgettable.
We paired it with a crisp white wine recommended by the staff – light, balanced, and ideal for a sunny day on the coast.
Then came dessert: Delizie al Limone. Magical is the only word that fits. Light, creamy, and bursting with fresh lemon flavor, it was hands down the best we had in all of Italy. To top it off, a smooth limoncello made everything sing.
The atmosphere was cozy, relaxed, and authentic – just like a true Sorrentine experience should be. Friendly staff, fair prices, and food that feels like a warm hug from Nonna.
We’d come back in a heartbeat. Don’t miss this gem. Five stars,...
