myself and my friends (group of 6 of us) had pre-booked this place in advance of our trip and were really looking forward to a nice dinner here. Upon arrival, the treatment we received instantaneously was abhorrent and disgusting. When we arrived, we were not spoken to or even addressed as we queued to be seated. After finally grabbing the attention of one of the staff, we were hastily and rudely told that our table was not ready as we had arrived 14 mins late. This made no sense to us as there was a 15 minute grace period and we had notified the restaurant in advance of our arrival time. We were ignored and tossed to the side while others that arrived after us were politely addressed, seated and attended to. After another 15 minutes of waiting, we were finally cramped onto a table and then ignored again. We had to request several times for a menu and when it finally was given to us, the waiter shoved it in front our faces and tossed the drinks menu at one of my friends before walking away. We would not recommend attending this establishment if you are a person of colour as it is clear that they do not welcome us and do not see us as worthy of basic respect and fair treatment. The looks we received and behaviour of the staff at this establishment were both demeaning and highly disrespectful. In the end, we decided we were not at all comfortable spending a penny here and upped & left to find somewhere where they treat everyone with respect and basic manners, which clearly is a concept that was lost on these people. Service 0/10. Ambiance 0/10. Dine here at your own risk.

We went here as a family last night. Read all of the rave reviews and were able to get a seat relatively quickly. We ordered multiple dishes, and unfortunately, most of us were unhappy with our choices. The waiters were fairly Kurt and would roll their eyes if we didn’t follow directions immediately. I ordered veal piccata, which was not close to any veal piccata that I’ve ever had before. Three very small pieces of meat and a relatively bland sauce for €20. The rigatoni carbonara had uncooked pieces of bacon that were very fatty and the sauce had split. One of us had gnocchi. and was also displeased by the dish. On top of this, instead of bottled water, they used tap water put into bottles and had the audacity to charge four euro per bottle. These were reusable bottles filled from a tap. lastly, the waiter had the audacity to say that we could use our credit card to pay the bill, but that we should leave him a tip and cash on the table. I’ve never had a waiter ever in the history of ever ask me to leave a tip for them. This is even more unusual in a country. We’re tipping is not expected. Ultimately, this was a disappointment, not terrible, but disappointing.

Got off the ferry from Almafi & the lift to the city center was too long so we voyaged by foot. Upon reaching the top, this place caught our eye after only being able to walk a short distance more. Waiters were friendly & older one was most social. Our food was DELICIOUS! We both cleaned our plates dry. Gnnocchi was cooked on point & loved the sauce! I asked for Parmesan & the waiter agreed with me - life is cheese ❤️. Husband enjoyed his linguine with calamari & shrimp. Side of grilled veggies had good crunch and was a nice addition to the pastas. I’m no wine connoisseur so idk names to prices. I was a little bummed that a glass of Chianti was €16 but when in Sorrento right? We definitely did not have room for desert. Eating outside was a pleasant experience, noisy enough to feel like I’m eating dinner outside in Italy, but not loud enough to not hear our table conversation. The waiter did prompt that they did not charge a service fee- I knew what that meant & had already intended to tip anyway. Im not mad at yeh hustle. When tourists eat in Sorrento right?

[Long Honest review - poorest service] It is worth noting that similar negative reviews regarding the quality of service can be found from other customers as well.

The level of service provided at this restaurant was shockingly subpar, and it became evident that the waiter engaged in discriminatory behavior, basing their treatment of customers on their appearance and presumed wealth. It appeared that only individuals dressed in expensive attire or adorned with noticeable luxury items received any form of attentive service. Despite making multiple requests for vinegar and a menu, the waiter simply smirked and walked away, prioritizing other customers who appeared to meet their standards of material wealth. Adding to the disappointment, I witnessed another table waiting for their bill for more than 15 minutes, while the waiter continued to wear insincere smiles despite repeated requests for the bill, blatantly disregarding the normal requests of their customers.

The final straw occurred when the waiter displayed impatience and disdain during a course change, carelessly throwing the utensils onto my table. This deplorable level of service not only marred my evening in the otherwise enchanting city of Sorrento but also exposed the restaurant's discriminatory practices.

Furthermore, upon leaving, I noticed smoke coming out from the kitchen, reaching all the way to the front door. This hazardous situation forced certain customers to change their seats, further contributing to the overall poor dining experience.

In light of these issues, I strongly advise seeking an alternative nearby restaurant if you desire a truly enjoyable dining experience devoid of biased treatment. Look for a place where all customers are treated with equality and respect, irrespective of their outward appearance or material...

Booked this a few weeks in advance for a group of 6 for dinner. Was very excited to try but unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Our reservation was for 9pm but we were about 12-14 mins late due to the fact there are no Ubers available in Sorrento and our driver kept pushing the time back. We tried to call to advise we would be late but no one answered. When we arrived we had to wait quite some time before we were attended to. Our table was not ready yet and we were told it was because we were late. The waiter that attended to us was talking to us whilst serving other customers and barely gave us any attention and was very dismissive. We just stood around very awkwardly waiting for the table to be ready as they attended to others that had no booking. Finally our table was ready and we were seated. We had to basically beg for a menu and when the waiter finally arrived with the menus he rather flung them on the table and walked away immediately. We could also tell that our waiter was talking about us with other waiters. It was a really uncomfortable experience and after having the menus flung at the table and being dismissed and spoken to quite rudely we decided to look for somewhere else to eat. We ended up going to Ristobiblioteramuseo L'Osteria del Buonconvento which was a MUCH more pleasant experience with great food.

Not sure if we had this negative experience due to the fact we were the only people of colour there, but it was very disappointing and disheartening to say the least. We felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is a shame because we didn’t have this experience in any other restaurant in Sorrento.

I would advise you to spend more time training staff on basic respect and customer service. Would not recommend or return, especially if you are a...
