The vuew is definitely worth a visit, the path tot he beach through the rock hewn steps and cave like section is dramatic, comfortable shoe needed. The sight of all the colour coded umbrellas, stunningly clear sea water and the scenery make this a worthwhile visit and sight. Pity about the beach though as it looks like the local councils gave away all the beautiful coastline to private operators who have barely left an inch of free access to the sea and enclosed everything. The only free stretch of sand barely 20 feet wide allocated by the local council for its citizens appears in the midst of the local boat yard and refuelling depot. An absolute example of uncaring governance. A pity especially as there are only a few miles of beautiful beaches all enclosed by private hotels and businesses. The walk down the steps is free and there is a paid lift service at approx 1.20...

Very beautiful spot (though I’d say Atrani, on the other side of the mountains is even more picturesque, but come on, everything is really stunning here). Pro tip if you wanna go for a swim downstairs: the beach clubs are all rather expensive. Check out their prices before you go down so you won’t be disappointed. Although the stairs themselves also command a picturesque view! So perhaps you wanna go downstairs to get a few nice photos, even if you decide against going to the...

There's two options, you can either take the stairs and get amazing views on the way or you can take the elevator for less than 2€ to the top, the choice is yours.

— Worth going? — ☑ Yes ☐ No

— Level of tourism — ☐ Extremely Busy ☑ Very Popular ☐ Not too bad ☐ Pretty Quiet

— Notes — If you take the stairs, be sure to drink loads of water, the heat is pretty intense since there's absolutely no shade to rest on, you will become the sweatiest you've ever been,...
