My husband and I stayed here for seven nights in mid-October. We simply cannot say enough good things about this hotel! It is truly a spectacular gem of a boutique hotel just a few steps away from the beach below the cliff (We timed our walk back up from the beach once for fun, and even with one stop to catch our breath, it was an eight minute walk from beach to front door). We reserved a Superior Room, which can sleep three, but I loved having the extra sofa area since we were staying for a full week. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us to Sorrento. The room decor is stunning, and the rooms are amazingly clean, fresh, modern and flat out gorgeous. The room had beautiful, high ceilings, which made the already large room seem even larger. The rainfall showerhead and bench seat in the large shower were very relaxing. Ivan and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and assisted with whatever we needed. Prior reviews I read had mentioned how wonderful breakfast was, and I completely understand why. Everything about it was divine: the choices of buffet food (freshly cut delicious fruit, house made pastries, quiches, yogurt, mimosas with freshly squeezed juice) would have been more than enough, but they also would make you an omelette, fried eggs, pancakes or waffles if you requested it. And of course cappuccino or espresso made to order. The brightly colored and patterned Sorrentine ceramic dishes just added to the overall breakfast experience. It was a bit chilly while we were there, so we weren’t really able to take advantage of the outdoor seating area, but it’s just as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. The hotel was right in the middle of the main Piazzas, so food and shopping were just a few steps away. The hotel and the town of Sorrento itself were a perfect location to visit all the sights: Naples, Herculaneum, Pompeii, Capri, and the towns on the Amalfi Coast were all a short train, car or boat ride away. The town of Sorrento has a wonderful vibe, and we were very happy we stayed there as opposed to an Amalfi Coast town. We stayed in four hotels during our Italian vacation, and this was by far our favorite. I could keep writing down superlative after superlative, but the bottom line is, you will be so happy if you choose to stay here. It felt as close to ‘home’ as possible while...
Read moreThis is a lovely, clean and bright hotel located in an excellent part of Sorrento. Around a 10 minute walk from the bus / train station and 2 minutes from a beautiful view over the coastline and looking directly at Mount Vesuvius. Around 10 minutes again to walk to the port to get ferries to capri etc. ||The overall decor inside felt authentic yet modern and we loved the blue, red and white theme - especially on the plates and mugs which we spotted in a local shop. The ceilings are very high and it was clean wherever we went. I don’t usually sleep very well in hotel rooms but we had such restful nights sleeps! The bed is very, very big and the long memory foam pillows were the highlight of the room stay! ||The shower was very big with an overhead waterfall shower aswell as a handheld shower. The bathroom layout with the sink / vanity space being nice enough for both of us. ||The aircon isn’t useable in March but the ceiling fan was brilliant. There are wooden shutters on the windows as well as a full length blind and a USB socket was on either side of our bed. ||The breakfast was lovely. Very attentive and offered coffees etc immediately. Continental food is already out and then an egg menu with things such as fried, boiled, scrambled eggs as well as pancakes and omelettes. The lady who took our egg order everyday was so welcoming and happy and made the most amazing omelette and pancakes. The orange juice maker with their fresh oranges was something we miss now home! The selection of food was good for me with breads to toast, bruschetta, cured meats and plenty of pastries. We were lucky to have sunshine to eat out on the terrace but there is a small breakfast room indoors which is nice and bright too. ||Overall we felt very safe in this hotel. It is lovely to have a wander around at night and is in a great location for venturing out to other areas such as Positano, Amalfi and Capri. We would recommend this to anyone going to Sorrento. Thank you for a...
Read moreWe booked a very last minute room on the 10th of August and couldn’t be happier with it, annoyingly we had to leave the day after but we’ll definitely come back for a longer stay. The position is perfect, a few steps away from the sea and the city center. The structure is fully renovated, tastefully furnished and decorated with a great eye to the details, our room was cozy, huge and comfortable. The breakfast with freshly made meals was incredible and made our departure even harder. The most amazing thing tho was the staff and their care for the hosts, they’re the most welcoming and accommodating people and Salvatore went above and beyond his duties making us feel very spoiled and special. There’s nothing better to have people genuinely taking care of you when you’re on holiday, it is a bonus you cannot find everywhere and gives the holiday a better energy and they definitely succeeded in that. When we were hopeless and ready to give up on our only day by the beach (because it was too busy and everything booked) they also helped us find a spot in one of the private beaches in front of the venue. Grazie mille di nuovo! Definitely you need to go if you’re planning to...
