Learn moreA Tourist Trap Serving Overpriced Disappointment
I wish I could give this place zero stars. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this restaurant is designed to scam unsuspecting tourists. The prices are outrageously high, especially for the abysmal quality of food they serve.
We ordered the arancini, which are supposed to be a Sicilian specialty, but what we got was a greasy, flavorless disaster. The pistachio arancini, in particular, was a nightmare. Not only did it taste stale, but it also gave my friend food poisoning! They spent the rest of the trip feeling miserable, and it completely ruined our experience in Siracusa.
To make matters worse, the service was indifferent at best. The staff clearly didn’t care about the customers, only about overcharging them. The atmosphere was nothing special either—just a generic setup designed to lure in tourists who don’t know any better.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of authentic, reasonably priced restaurants in Siracusa where you can enjoy delicious, high-quality food. This one is a complete rip-off and a...
Read moreUnfortunately, the food was not good. I've had vegan arancini in Palermo which were flavorful and delicious. This was not that. The arancini was pretty tasteless. It was still cold in the middle when they brought it to me so that had to take it back and heat it up. I honestly wasn't sure I wanted to finish it. It was kind of like cardboard. I knew that 8 euros was way too much to pay for an arancini (street food) but I'm vegan so options are limited. For comparison, I pay 3.50 euros in Palermo for a much better product. I would be willing to splurge once in a while if the food was good, but it isn't. I would not eat here again. The plus was that the staff were very nice. Thank...
Read morePure joy to see a place that offered exclusively gluten free arancini! So often those of us with food restrictions are left out of the food aspect of traveling (trying traditional foods, etc.) so it was particularly meaningful the opportunity to try an arancino. There’s a wide variety of options including vegan, vegetarian, and lactose free… all gluten free. I got the bolognese the first day and really enjoyed it. I went back a second time and got the pistachio option and it was good but I preferred the bolognese. Just really grateful to have had a dedicated gluten free place where I was able to eat a traditional food and have total...
