An Unpleasant Dining Experience We recently visited Camelia 44 restaurant during a family vacation, and I strongly advise against dining here to spare yourself disappointment. Our evening started with a 45-minute wait at a poorly lit table. After requesting a move to a better-lit area, we were served insulting dishes. The pizza was sticky and far from fresh, the meat dish seemed hastily thawed and served in disarray, and the pasta was drowned in a tasteless tomato sauce. The "salad" was a mere afterthought, comprising a few Roquette leaves and a handful of tomatoes. To top it off, the bill was presented in a haphazard, handwritten manner, and the total cost was an astonishing 85 euros, including an unjustifiable 25-euro "table transfer service" charge. In conclusion, this dining experience was unpleasant in every sense. The poor food quality, subpar service, and unreasonable pricing left us deeply unsatisfied. Read moreWe had a very poor experience the entire evening. If I could give this one star I would. The service was incredibly slow. First of all, we waited more than 30 minutes before the waitress even brought us water. We then ordered two drinks one of which took 30 minutes and was wrong. We ordered red wine and received white. After another 15 minutes, the waitress came back to inform us that they were out of one of the ingredients for the second drink. It came poorly made (see photo) One pasta dish came with one shrimp and another pasta dish came with 4 mussels. The amount of seafood was extremely disproportionate to the amount of pasta (see photo). At the end of the evening when I went to pay I noticed the same dishes with many shrimp and mussels. When I pointed it out they did not care and made me feel guilty. It was one of the worst dining...
Read moreWe were staying locally and wanted to support this restaurant....it was appealing from the outside and the reviews were good. Unfortunately we found the food could only be described as disappointing and the service as lacking. 3 of us ordered the recommended prawn gnocchi which was flavourless, dense and had one prawn per plate, a small over priced portion. The other person in our group had an oversalted carbonara. We were offered no service after ordering so I don't know if desserts were an option, based on our meal I probably would not have ordered anything further. 2 stars from me for a good wine recommendation and a nice cheese and anchovy bruschetta. With so many good restaurants in Ortiga, don't waste your time...
