According to our local guide, this place was highly recommended for dining. Despite the numerous dining options available, we were seated promptly and received fast and friendly service. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations, particularly the pizza, which was the best we've had in Sicily, and the calamari frito, which quickly became our favorite dish while traveling here. The restaurant also had a reasonably priced wine list. Throughout the evening, multiple attentive waiters and waitresses checked on our table, genuinely interested in ensuring we had a great dining experience without being bothersome. It was undoubtedly one of the best dinners we've enjoyed during our two-week stay in southern Italy, prompting us to plan a return visit tonight. We were seated promptly, service was fast and friendly, food was fantastic, our waiter brought a bianco wine but we had ordered a rosa, He apologized saying it was his mistake and returned in a flash with the correct bottle. Very nice wine list. Several waiters/waitresses attended to our table asking if there was anything they could do to make the dinner better but not in an annoying fashion. They made us feel like they cared about our evening. Possibly one of the best dinners we have had in our two weeks so far in southern Italy. In fact we plan on returning this evening. Started out okay but went south quickly. Fantastic position in the square but just not impressed. We were served quickly at first but forgotten. The focaccia starter is not focaccia, it's a pizza. The potatoes were good. They forgot our beer. Charme wine was good. From starter to first was at least 30mins, maybe longer. Octopus house specialty was fun but rather gross, drowned in tomato sauce. The spaghetti alle vongole was terrible. It wasn't spaghetti, it was spaghettino, thick square noodles. And the clams were full of sand. The tuna pasta was cold and the pasta was undercooked. The lasagna was mediocre at best, potentially microwaved for last minute heat. Slow service. Sub-par food quality (although pretty), and limited attention to the customer.
