Siciliano al Teatro — Restaurant in Taormina

Our last night in Taormina and we picked a restaurant that had awesome reviews and we are very happy we did as our food was delicious and the service was friendly and engaging.

We enjoyed friendly banter with our waiter, Kelvin, which always makes a meal more enjoyable. And the food was outstanding.

Our daughter had the "MESSINA STYLE" SWORDFISH* (WITH POTATOES,ONION,TOMATO,OLIVES AND CAPERS) and she loved it! She shared some with us and the flavors were amazing as was the fish itself..rich flavors and fresh fish… so good!

My husband had the—- FRESH PASTA BUSIATE WITH FRESH RAW TOMATO, DRY TOMATO, GARLIC, BASIL AND ALMONDS—— I loved his dish and ate more of his then he did and he felt the same about my dish so he had more of mine…which was the SPAGHETTI CARRETTIERA WITH FRESH TOMATO, BASIL, GARLIC and it was very good but I felt the dish with almonds was much more flavorful. Everything was wonderful… the ambiance was nice and everyone there was professional and made the experience more enjoyable. The inside setting is lovely as is the sitting going down the steps..

Almost forget that they serve fresh home bread with olive oil from Palermo and balsamic and it was delicious…. We also ordered an appetizer of caprese salad and it was wonderful!

Fourth trip to Sicily. For an extravagant vacation we selected a Villa directly across the steeet. We looked down at this charming patio that we could not resist. We quickly googled it. They do not have a social media presence…and clearly they do not need it. The food is EXCEPTIONAL (top 3 meals of this trip) and the service was so endearing, generous yet, it’s obvious the proprietor is skillfully suited to meet your every need. We have a severe nut allergy in our crew, and he very clearly understood what a significant threat it could be. He, on the fly created a dish that met our desires…light, savory, full of fresh mollusks, tomatoes and fresh basil, garlic and parsley. His humor, his charm, and his energy…are 💯 Sicilian authentic. The supporting staff, their own right are exceedingly capable and attentive. There is an absolute reason this place warrants a 4.7 rating. My husband and I went for dinner. Ordered tomato pasta and the pistachio pasta. Both inedible. We just counted our losses paid and left. They played 2000s loud rap music the whole time as we sat outside. I don’t understand the good reviews. Nice seating area and good service.

Edit- I wish you would have seen our plates too as we took about 2 bites each of our dish. We didn’t want to exchange as we lost our appetite. This is my honest review of your establishment I was not degrading. Only hoping for a good meal on vacation. I wish I would have checked that the owner replies so nasty to anything but 5 star reviews. You sound like a miserable...
