Terrazza Moro - Ristorante & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Taormina

We went to Terrazza Moro on 4th September 2023 after a recommendation from a friend who visited the restaurant in July.

The setting is just outside the main town and has a wonderful over the sea. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to get a table overlooking the great views.

The menu is huge with lots of great options, but the pizzas are definitely the highlight. Looking around the restaurant this is what most people had ordered. They are a generous size and cooked to perfection with lots of good topping options.

The best thing about this restaurant was the service. Our waiter Andrea was attentive, friendly and gave a great service throughout.

We dined as a pair at Terrazza Moro, a restaurant that seems to float above the sea with one of Taormina’s most stunning views. A view like this often comes at the expense of flavor, but not here.

The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the terrace feels like a place designed for lingering, not performing. Service was impeccable: friendly, attentive, and naturally accommodating. We made a few special requests, such as sharing each course and the staff handled everything seamlessly.

The food matched the setting in every sense, authentic Sicilian flavors executed with precision and confidence. Each dish showed balance, restraint, and a real respect for the ingredients.

A wonderful dinner, the best we've had in Sicily on this trip. We both had the crispy sea bass fillet, which was beautifully cooked and served on a tower of very tasty vegetables. I had the zabaglione for dessert and my husband had the tarte tatin - again, both extremely tasty and beautifully presented. The breads were freshly baked, the amuse buche was a lovely extra. Service was excellent - friendly and attentive without being intrusive. And the view was breathtaking.
