Carignano — Restaurant in Turin

What an amazing experience! Everything was so well thought of, from the beginning to the end. I have some dietary restrictions and the chef was able to accommodate to my needs and didn't feel like my options were less than the ones my husband was having. All dishes were super tasty, portions were very good. We were SO full by the end that my husband couldn't even finish his chocolate or the petit four! And what can we say about the waiters and sommelier! We had the whole restaurant to ourselves as we were the only table on a weekday and they were all 3 super nice! We enjoyed a great conversation and felt like we were talking to long-time friends. They explained every dish, wine and the menu and it's background and we got to understand how lucky we were to be able to enjoy this special menu. my wife & I ate at Carlo e Camillo Bistrot, I ordered tongue cooked in red wine which should be very tender but it was tough,…. my wife had liver which did not impress either. Their portions were very stingy and the price of 2 glasses of wine were through the roof. When I go out for dinner, I want to be blown away by the food and not by the price,…. On a positive note,… the waitresses were very friendly,… attentive and professional. We were staying in the hotel next-door so we decided to have our first night dinner there. Good choice the food was very good we ate inside there’s also outside dining. Also, we had a Greek salad which we shared which was delicious I had sea bass fillet very good with the tomatoes and olives and the fried potato underneath. Also had a pasta dish with lots of cheese. The waiter Andreas. was excellent. He was helpful. He spoke English and helped us make decisions.
