D.ONE Torino — Restaurant in Turin

I have been to D.ONE many times. For casual drinks with friends or colleagues, dinners with a table of 7 on a full night, randomly dropping by for a quick pizza returning from work. I have always found the same level of quality and service: just excellent. Their burgers and sides are not boring and absolutely tasty. The pizza easily rivals the most famous ones in town. The place is run by exquisite humans with a knack for manners, and it's heartwarming to be remembered even when you haven't been there for months. Recensione iniziale: Dire pessimi è fare un complimento. Siamo in due e vogliamo fare un aperitivo senza aver prenotato. Ci fanno sedere, poi ci fanno cambiare tavolo perché quello è prenotato. Ma non ci sediamo nemmeno al nuovo tavolo perché un'altra cameriera l'ha dato ad un'altra coppia arrivata dopo di noi.

Errata corrige: Mi spiace molto che mi venga data della bugiarda, perché non lo sono. Mi spiace anche molto che venga detto che ci si ricorda perfettamente della situazione che si è verificata in quanto è palese che non sia così. Nel dettaglio: ricordo benissimo che NON ci siamo seduti al tavolo senza chiedere, anzi abbiamo aspettato per qualche minuto (pochi, lo chiarisco) vicino all'angolo del dehors dicendo tra noi che speravamo di sederci nei tavoli sotto il dehors e non di quelli senza copertura. Mi ricordo benissimo che poi la cameriera ci ha fatto sedere dicendo che avrebbe a breve portato i menù. Qualche minuto dopo invece che portare i menù ci ha detto che quel tavolo era occupato (ed era lei a non essersene accorta inizialmente) e ci ha chiesto di spostarci. Arrivati al nuovo tavolo (che lei era sicura fosse libero) ha notato che si era seduta un'altra coppia, anzi che si stava sedendo in quel preciso momento su indicazione di un'altra cameriera. Da quanto abbiamo capito quella coppia non aveva prenotato. Indipendentemente da questo se il tavolo non era libero all'inizio bastava dirlo subito. Mi è capitato in molti locali di sentirmi dire che i tavoli erano tutti prenotati, ma mai di farmi sedere (su chiara indicazione della cameriera, lo ripeto) e poi farmi rialzare. L'evento sarebbe anche passato in secondo piano, probabilmente saremmo anche ritornati al locale, probabilmente avrei anche modificato la recensione (visto che ne avevo già fatto un'altra da 4 stelle se non sbaglio), ma dopo che mi è stato detto che sono una bugiarda...

A great place to enjoy some good in the heart of the city. The food is very contemporary and the taste is off the charts. There are 3 menus available each containing 3 dishes but you can surely mix and choose your own three dishes to order. The burger is a must eat here. It tastes as pretty as it looks. Served with few wedges of fries it's surely one of the best burgers in turin. There is a list of tapas to order as well Which are not the traditional Spanish tapas but have some chef's twist on them.
