We were 5 people wanting to have lunch at 2pm. The rude owner refused to service us, told us the terrace was closed even if two people were eating in it. The moment we turned to leave, a group of three and later a group of six entered the terrace to eat and the owner allowed it. To us, however, she denied service and was adamant that there was no space (having 4 other empty tables at the terrace of at least 4 spaces each). She probably rejected us because we were foreign. She heard us speak Spanish and English and she grimaced.
Edit (in response to their answer): I am not sure you remember who we were since A) we didn’t even step on the terrace nor B) touch chairs or tables. That was the next group of 6 people which you happily served even if the terrace “was closed”. When we left, two new groups of people had found a seat at the terrace, without reservation. Read moreAn absolute ‘must-visit’ for anyone in Torino: the burrata is to die for.
The set menu is simply exceptional value for quality (and yes, I know what I am talking about).
Strongly recommend “Le Bombette”. These pork morsels filled with cheese were utterly divine. In between mouthfuls, I got flashbacks of Fabio Grosso’s unforgettable goal against Germany in the semi-final of the 2006 World Cup. Yes, that good, that memorable!
Very much looking to return on my next visit to sunny Torino. A truly great experience - and buona pasqua...
