LUOGO DIVINO wine bistrot — Restaurant in Turin

My girlfriend and I got a warm recommendation from a very nice wine bar in Torino for this restaurant. So, we booked a table via email which was confirmed. When we arrived at the location, no reservation on our name could be identified. After showing the confirmation a table was given to us. The menu was not available in English first, but after a while the staff managed to print some English copies. Good selection of high quality wine by the glass. The food - Starters and Primi - was very good and delicious. Secondi was good. Service - The performance of the young lady with very short hair cut was sufficient. The main (young) sommelier had a clear focus on (young) female guests and I would politely describe his style as inappropriate "cool". His wine expertise can't be evaluated by us because he did not appear at our table for wine service - in contrast to all other guests. The other two waiters performed similarly well - our glases were (obviously) empty most of the time. Well done. Amazing experience at this wonderful place. Staff is super professional, friendly, loving & passionate😀. The food is creative, innovative, full of flavours, well presented and some of the best I have had in Torino. Complimenti per la cucina👏. The wine list may not be the biggest but it’s all quality😀 The sommelier Guillermo, who is from Argentina, not only is crazy qualified when it comes to his knowledge about wines but as a person you just fall in love with him. In fact it goes for the entire team here at this wonderful place. This is for sure gonna be my new favourite spot in Torino. I can’t wait...

This review is about the annex (wine bar), opposite the restaurant. There you may have just appetizers and wines or cocktails. The place is nice and the choice of wines is limited but sufficient. Unfortunately, we found the prices high and the quality of the wines disappointing: Chianti was served to the very last drop of the bottle resulting in getting the sediment in the glass.
