After we got our complementary Cappuccino and pistachio cornetti-one of us chose muesli, we went back to our accommodation and sat on the roof terrace; although, Al Barilott is located in a small piazza where you sit at an outside table and enjoy views of a nearby church and clock tower, as well as Lake Como and the mountains surrounding the lake. The ladies running the place were so gracious and helpful, and they also had a delicious looking homemade jam filled cake. If we had stayed longer than one night, I could see returning here...

We planned to have lunch in a restaurant by the lakeside by the price was high. So we decided to just get a quick bite and head to Bellagio immediately after.
The mushroom panini blew my mind. The bread is crispy but still able to absorb juices from the mushrooms. The cheese are in good proportion. Together, each bite is amazing. I miss the flavour still after I left Italy. I wished I have ordered another panini.
