Our stop at Bar Giardino, tucked away in the gardens of the lovely Hotel Royal Victoria near Villa Monastero, was an absolute highlight of our time in Lake Como. We thought we knew Aperol Spritz – until we tried their version with a unique and delicious twist. It was hands down the best we’ve had!

The staff were fantastic – warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The setting is stunning, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere that invites you to relax and savour the moment.

What really stood out was the elegant little caddy filled with a variety of snacks – such a thoughtful and elevated touch that made the whole experience feel extra special.

Bar Giardino was an amazing experience. The atmosphere, views, and the service were so unique. But, who made the full bar experience magical was Daniel. He took his time and asked what type of drinks we liked, and he gave us ideas and suggestions. We followed his guidance and they were incredible. I had the Lariano and my wife enjoyed the Royal Martini, a perfect balance, refreshing and well served. Daniel made our Varenna stop so special. We’ve traveled all over, and Max made hands down the best cocktails in Lake Como possibly the best we’ve had anywhere. From classics with a twist to completely unique creations, every drink was a masterpiece. You can tell Max isn’t just mixing drinks; he’s crafting experiences.

Not only is he incredibly skilled behind the bar, but he was also attentive, passionate, and genuinely fun to be around Max elevated the entire experience.
