I cannot stop gushing about our experience at Cafe Del Doge in Venice! This charming little cafe became the highlight of our mornings during our three-day stay in this mesmerizing city.
From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, instantly awakening our senses. I opted for the rich and velvety cappuccino, while my wife indulged in the perfectly brewed Americano. The baristas at Cafe Del Doge are true masters of their craft; each cup was a work of art, delivering a burst of flavors that danced on our taste buds.
What truly set this cafe apart was not just the exceptional coffee, but also the warm and inviting ambiance. Nestled in a quiet corner of Venice, the cafe exuded an old-world charm that made us feel like we had stepped back in time. The rustic decor, coupled with the friendly chatter of fellow coffee enthusiasts, created an atmosphere that was simply magical.
But it wasn't just the first visit that impressed us; we found ourselves drawn back to Cafe Del Doge every single day of our trip. Each morning, as we sipped our delightful beverages, we couldn't help but marvel at the consistency in the quality and taste. It became our daily ritual, a cherished tradition that added an extra layer of joy to our Venice experience.
The staff at Cafe Del Doge were not just skilled professionals; they were warm, attentive, and passionate about their craft. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to make our coffee just the way we liked it made us feel like valued guests, not just customers.
In the midst of Venice's bustling streets and crowded attractions, Cafe Del Doge provided us with a serene sanctuary. It was more than just a coffee shop; it was a haven where we could relax, savor exquisite coffee, and create beautiful memories together.
If you find yourself in Venice, do not miss the opportunity to visit Cafe Del Doge. It's not just a cafe; it's an experience, a treasure trove of flavors, and a testament to the artistry of coffee-making. Our three days in Venice were made infinitely better, thanks to this hidden gem of a cafe. We left with our hearts full of gratitude and our taste buds longing for more.

Read moreI am very disappointed with this place. I ordered a double expresso with the Sumatra beans for a price of 7€, again 7€!!!
Firstly they don’t specify, either state a difference price depending the beans origin.
The extraction of the coffee is very poor, before brewing they don’t clean properly the previously used coffee grounds from the machine, either rinse pour some water through.
Regarding the service. When trying to pay with card, the barista said “no, just cash” and when I went to my wallet to get a note she was giving me the back talking with a colleague. Called her twice, no response.
Sat down, for 2 minutes (I have a son that can not stop calm) and I got up to Pay. When paying they want me pay for table service (+0’50 cents). Then, the said, okay, a expresso of this beans is 3’5€, then is a double expresso, give me 7€.
I just paid and left, basically with a very bad feeling of wrong doing from their part.
I am sad that places like this, with tourists like us would keep running because the big mass of people coming over every day. Hope people starts to realise of how...
Read moreInconsistent service to say the least. This morning we passed by for a quick coffee. We wanted to have it at the counter as many others do, however were told to sit at the table. Then they explained that since we sit at the table, they won’t take our order at the bar - we have to wait at the table. Fair enough if they did, however none of the two waitresses / baristas had any intention of coming anytime soon. It’s a busy morning with new customers constantly coming in and being served immediately, at the counter - exactly what we wanted. They simply refused to take our orders. After waiting for a while and another attempt to order at the counter we had to leave. The two baristas were incredibly rude to us. There was no problem with English, just plain rudeness. It’s a big shame since we had a good experience a day before in the afternoon when cafe was completely empty. Alias we also had our worst experience during the entire stay in Venice and won’t be...
