Popped by this place as it look local. However, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth literally and it seems like it is not new as another review also mentioned similar issue where the issue was blamed to the guest.
We ordered 2 main and 1 starter, overall the food is really not great as compared to the other meals we had tried in Venice but it is decent. However, be prepared to wait for super long for the dish to arrive.
Anyway what went wrong was the service, another guest with bagpack brushed across my full glass of aperol spritz on the table it fell to the floor and broke.
The server behind them immediately turned to me saying I had put the glass on the floor. At the time, I seriously thought it was a joke and she would replace my drink because who put their drink on the floor when we had space on the table? She also consoled the other guest who broke the glass that it is not his fault. On hindsight, this should have been the warning sign.
We waited awhile and they did not replace my drink, thinking it was forgotten so we told another server to give us another aperol spritz.
At the end, after the meal we were charged for the “extra” aperol spritz and had to feedback to the same server that we are not paying the initial aperol spritz that broke. She insisted I had put the glass on the floor and the additional glass was not a replacement. This persisted until the guest who accidentally broke the cocktail spoke up and verified the accident. Then she sighed and went to redo the bill. By then the damage is done, from the slow serving time required when the restaurant is not full house, to the subpar meal and then getting blamed that the I had purposely put the glass on the floor so it broke?! Avoid this place is u can as the dining experience is completely awful.

Read moreAwful people & experience. We sat at a table outside in the shade, a lovely French couple next to us were sat in the sun next to the canal and said they were leaving so we should move to their table, so we did. The staff’s response was astoundingly bad, multiple staff asked ‘why we would do such a thing’, slammed glasses down, one lady came and shouted at us in Italian, you would honestly think we’d committed a horrendous crime. Fair enough the table was not yet cleared but it’s a busy time and people were waiting to jump into seats, and we didn’t want to miss the chance that the couple had given us for seats in the sun! We don’t mind being tidied around or asked to stand back up and to one side to let them do what they need, but instead they were incredibly hostile and unnecessarily rude. There are plenty of places in Murano to eat and drink in gorgeous surroundings, don’t choose this one, find somewhere more welcoming...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to warrant one.
The food was honestly below average. The pasta was overcooked and bland, lacking any real flavor, and the sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can. We also ordered a steak that was supposed to be medium-rare—it came out well-done and dry. Even the side dishes felt like an afterthought: soggy fries and a limp salad.
Service didn’t make things any better. Our server seemed uninterested from the moment we walked in—no greeting, no smile. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to place our order, and getting anyone’s attention after that was like pulling teeth. When we politely mentioned the issues with the food, we were met with a shrug and no attempt to make things right.
All in all, this place felt like it had given up. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal or a pleasant...
