Not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews. The food was pretty bland and average- no different from many typical venitian tourist traps with pricing to reflect that- only helped by 20%’off the bill if you search for offers via tripadvisor or the fork. The owner seemed to have a very negative view whenever food was left and unable to take any criticism also giving off a very nervous/cagy energy- he also appeared to intentionally ignore us for most of the evening despite the restaurant not being too busy which we were thinking could be because of the discount (to which he’s shouldn’t be signing up to sites offering this) As for what we ordered- The zucchini flowers that a lot of other reviewers raved on about with crab meat had a super tough and thick choux-like pastry/batter which took away any chance for the dish to feel balanced. We also had the figs with scampi which was meh, however for two tiny figs with zero finesse at 25+ euros just seemed to be a bit of rip off The pasta dishes were all store bought pasta which you wouldn’t expect for lobster linguine and tuna botarga spaghetti at an establishment that appears to have some little ambition- far too Al dente and lacking in any kind of finesse Finally the mains we had lamb chops which were severely under seasoned as well as the turbot which in fairness had been cooked wel, but lacked any seasoning or flavour A lot of American and international tourists seem to think this place is half decent and some even quoting it being the best restaurant they’ve ever been to- I’m not sure what coolade they’re drinking, but we sure did not share remotely this experience. This place seems to cater towards much older clientelle who clearly aren’t too fussy and not true foodies. There are definitely better restaurants in Venice or ones which offer very similar cuisine for much cheaper. We were really looking forward to our meal originally but feel cheated even with the discount we had… 2 stars I think is very generous given that the owner seems to genuinely think he’s doing a great job and is unable to accept criticism (which we have no doubt he’ll submit a reply to this review) perhaps not helped by all the inflated 5 star reviews on here?

The most elegant and classy restaurant in all of Venice, A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details on order to please you. (we were looking for a restaurant within our tastes regarding food and service) A restaurant run by an Albanian family, with many years of experience from the best restaurants in Venice & more. The restaurant also had a veranda, which was a really nice and warm environment, which I can't wait to visit during the fall or spring. (sorry for any dish that is not right, I couldn't wait without trying it first, and of course they were super delicious) Among desserts, they had two special ones that you can't find anywhere else, the first one with strawberries, a dessert from the country of birth, and the second one, I tell you with conviction that "if you don't know what you're eating, you won't understand that you are eating eggs", maybe it doesn't sound good to the ear, but for the stomach it was a masterpiece! Finally, I have a photo with the lady of the restaurant, the boss lady, as a sign of respect and thanks for the wonderful night they offered us not only in service but also as their compatriots sharing their entire journey, experience with us. Everything was honestly delicious and I cannot wait to go back.”

We were here for our last lunch in Venezia and it was perfect. All the ingredients were very fresh with just the right amount of seasoning that wasn't overpowering and brought out the best of each dish. I was especially impressed how the two pasta dishes we ordered were so different and wonderfully delicious in their own way. If you are a big group and love fish, turbot is also a great choice. Our favorite was the mixed fried seafood (frittura mista di pesce). Truly delicato! Excellent service was a plus!

We had high expectations based on all the reviews but were a bit disappointed we have following feedback: Staff was Helpfull and attentive, but a bit too attentive to our liking constantly looking, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Very nice setting in the inner courtyard outside, but a bit disturbing that on the outside stairs there are people going up and down to the hotel located above the restaurant. Food was ok but not up to the price tag. Zucchini flowers with crab very nice, Parma ham with melon, the melon was clearly not ripe / sweet enough. Lamb chops were perfect to taste but could have been softer….grilled sea bass was perfectly cooked but the sauce was too thick / jelly like. Zabaglione as desert was wonderful on the other hand. All plates were large enough portions you definitely don’t walk away hungry. I have to say we are demanding eaters and honestly for the price paid it could have been better. Others might find it exceptional.

This review was made as an opportunity for improvement for the restaurant hope the owner will accept it as such, the...
