⭐ 1 star – TOURIST TRAP ALERT – AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Al Buso, right by the Rialto Bridge, is a textbook example of a tourist trap – overpriced, rude, and absolutely not worth your time or money.
Staff is shockingly rude. If you only want to sit for a drink, they’ll make you feel unwelcome or even force you to leave. They talk badly about customers behind their backs – unaware that some of us understand more than one language. It’s not just unprofessional, it’s downright insulting.
The food is bland, overpriced, and forgettable – nothing authentic, nothing fresh, just mass-produced dishes slapped onto a plate. They rely solely on the location to draw in unsuspecting tourists, and once you’re seated, they rush you to order and treat you like a burden.
There’s no hospitality, no respect, and absolutely no care for customer experience. Just a money-grab operation targeting people who don’t know better.
❌ Want a drink with a view? Go elsewhere. ❌ Want real Italian food? Go elsewhere. ❌ Want to be treated like a human being? DEFINITELY go elsewhere.
You’ve been warned – skip Al Buso unless you enjoy being overcharged and mistreated. Venice...
Read moreI was confused by all of the low scoring reviews, because when my wife and I ate here a few years ago it was spectacular. We were seated outside at the foot of the Rialto Bridge, and we were attended to by a man we still refer to as "The Hustler" (in a good way). He legitimately spoke 12 different languages (my wife and I speak 5 between the two of us, and he was talking easily to other patrons in languages we weren't familiar with, so we know it wasn't B.S.), was incredibly engaging and attentive, and his meal recommendations were spot on. He went out of his way to not only make the meal enjoyable, but also gave us great information on places to go and what to do while we were in the city. His service was excellent to the point where we still think of him as a highlight of the trip, hence the name we gave him.
The food and wine were fantastic, but the seafood risotto was by far the best part of the meal. Everything was so incredibly fresh and flavorful, and prepared to perfection. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Venice, and it would be at the top of our list of restaurants to return to the next...
Read moreWe choose this place because was quiet. A table under Rialto bridge and far from the craziness of people mocinha around. Also it had a great view compared to other restaurants around. The food is not amazing but it is quite good. The cuttlefish spaghetti was very nice, the lobster tagliatelle was a waste of money. Ok but insanely expensive.
But the view and the quietness was great. So we took our time and enjoyed the view with a reasonable Lambrusco. They also let us chill without pushing us to leave and that was great also. So if you want an good enough pasta with a great view, this is a nice choice.
They really don’t wanna sell the pizzas they don’t even bring you the menu unless you ask, and they always advise you to eat other more expensive thing. My boyfriend was “fooled” by that. And he had the lobster pasta instead of the lobster pizza, 9€ difference same amount of lobster. Maybe the pizza was bad or maybe we just got fooled.
Anyway we spent a...
