Our waiter was very arrogant and acted as though he knew everything about everything. Ordered a spritz Aperol that tasted like they forgot the prosecco so I barely drank any of it. I ordered the pasta with scallops and was brought the tiniest portion of pasta I've seen in Italy with mussels in it and not scallops (at 13euro). When I asked our waiter about it he asked me if I had even read the menu and that they were "queen's scallops" and dove in to a lengthy explanation of them being local scallops. I love sea food and am not an idiot; these were some sort of mussels and not scallops. Regardless, I tried to eat the meal. It tasted as though the chef did not properly clean the "scallops" and every bite I took tasted like it had sand in it. I took it inside and told the woman at the bar it wasn't good. She, being the only genuinely nice person here, did offer to make me something else, but I was ready to leave and declined. I took note of the Italian word they use for the "queen's scallops" (canestrelli) and later Googled it. Those actually look like scallops, but I had mussels in my dish. So in the end it was an awful experience with overpriced food and a waiter that...
Read moreNever again. We have entered the restaurant, we were cold and hungry. Neither of these were satisfied after we left. The waitress left us with menues, then about twenty minutes nor walked around our table or looked our direction. Then came a waiter and took our orders. Meals starting at 12 euros, plus charging 2,5 euro couvert per person. We had lasagnas, which after half an hour waiting came half cold, we had to ask for heating them. My son had penne with italien cheese, which were good, though not worth 12 euro, there were not even 200 grams of them. My husband had shrimp, which made him sick, after leaving the restaurant. My meal, spagetti with squid was good, though the plate like the others was also half empty, but enough for a person who does not eat much. Half litre bottled water for 3 euros. There was quite cold outside, there was warmer inside, but not enough warm to feel good and to spend more then one hour sitting. We left this restaurant angry, cold and some of us stil hungry. This bitter experience made our whole visit of Murano island filled with...
Read moreCan't comment on the quality of food as we stopped here for a beer whilst considering what, if any food to order. We were the only people in the place on 18th March, a wet and rainy day and within 5 minutes of the drinks arriving the staff started cleaning floors and locking up the doors around us, giving a feeling that we were in the way as they wanted to close up for the day. After a while of being glared at by the staff, in particular a young female and made to feel quite uncomfortable, we left. If I'm paying 16 euro for two beers, it's nice to be able to shelter from the rain and enjoy them. Shame it wasn't to be. Wouldn't recommend due to the atmosphere and rudeness of...
