Wonderful place. Just nextdoor to the glass workshop, to the lighthouse and to the waterbus stop (which is more of a positive thing, no need to go somewhere far once you're full.)
The restaurant has three dining zones: on the street, inside and on the private pier. The peir one is the best, with the wooden tables, flowers, a roof to cover from the sun and elements, and with classic view to the Venice sea. Also there is a free toilet.
The thing we didn't like were kind of dirty beer glasses. We had to go in and ask to change them. Plus keep in mind, you have to pay 2.00 euros on top for every single visitor. I went with my mum, so the total price was 4.00 euros higher.
But what was fantastic is food. We ordered a pizza with onions and two types of meat (I believe it was called Pugliese) and were more than happy with the results. You'd expect some restaurants to sell low quality food, relying on good reputation of Italian food as a whole, which is not the case with this place. We were, two adults were left full with a single pizza and drinks, both of which were fine as hell.
If we ever come back, we'd be delighted to visit this place again and can definitely recommend it for whoever's looking for cheap and...
Read moreFinal update after owner’s rude response: It's honestly laughable how this place takes your money, then treats you like you're not welcome. We bought ice cream and coffee — we were paying customers — but the moment our young kids sat down quietly for a minute, a staff member barked at them to “Go, go! No sit here!” in a rude, aggressive tone.
We weren’t even planning to stay — our ferry was coming shortly — and frankly, after reading all the other bad reviews and seeing the dirty tables and atmosphere, we wouldn’t have wanted to. The table was filthy, with no cloth, and it certainly wasn’t busy. If you're going to act like customers aren’t welcome unless they sit for a full meal, maybe stop begging people in with cheap ice cream out front. Put up a sign that says “No sitting unless you're spending more” and save the ice cream for your staff — since they seem to be the only ones allowed to sit.
Instead of blaming parents or children, take a good look at your own attitude, your staff’s behavior, and the way you treat the people keeping your business running. Crying with laughter thinking about how you complain there aren’t enough tourists spending money anymore. Maybe look at how you treat the ones who do....
Read moreWe were on Murano for the first time, and we wanted to try original Italian pizza, so that's why we came in here for lunch. The pizza was great, BUT: There's one old man as a waiter and he was so rude, we thought he was rude only with us because we are tourists, but then when other tourists came, then we saw that he was rude to them also, WARNING if you aren't an Italian then don't come here. If an Italian came, then ciao ciao ciao. If a tourist sat at the table, he didn't welcome us. He didn't even want to serve us. We sat there more than half an hour after we finished our food, the old man just sat there and was looking at us he wouldn't even come to us, so we came inside to pay. There's one young waiter who is nice he got us the pizza, the Old man made us pay 5 euro more. We had 1x pizza prosciutto for 10 euro and 1x quattro-formagi for 15 euro, and we had to pay for 2x quattro-formagi, we wanted to give them a tip but he took a tip himself. If you are a tourist, do take warning for that old man. He WILL make you pay more euro just because you are a tourist because he thinks you are dumb. They should put that old man back to his retirement home. The young man was very nice and the pizza...
