We came here for a light breakfast, and we’re so glad we did. This became one of our favorite memories from our trip through Italy. The food was delicious - small, yes, but well-priced for the size, so if you’re quite hungry, you can probably still fill up for cheaper than you would at a typical restaurant. This is a bar and cafe, so the men behind the counter are making food, preparing coffees, and serving alcohol. For a morning stop, it was surprisingly lively. There were several locals chatting with the staff, drinking coffee if they were starting their day or a pint of beer if they were just coming back from their fishing boats. The staff were attentive to all and made it a welcoming, jovial atmosphere, singing and dancing from the kitchen to the bar. Read moreBe careful as a tourist. We ordered some drinks and a beer with some cicchetti and they overcharged us. After I paid in Euros I thought about it and went back five minutes later to ask for a receipt and they scrambled to find out what we ordered and refunded me the overcharged Euros. You pay afterwards and one man wrote down what we ordered so they should have known what to charge.
Almost all places in Italy give you a receipt so you know what was ordered and what you paid. It's unfortunate when you enjoy the restaurant, but have staff trying to take advantage of tourists. Keep track of the prices...
