Would not recommend; food was adequate, except the fact that the focaccia was really just a garlic flatbread, and so was the service until the very end where we received the check that showed a charge for the whole party that we were completely unaware of. We asked them and they simply replied, “It was on the menu in FINE PRINT.” Now here’s where we got frustrated because it did say it but not in fine print but tiny print, on the bottom of the very first page and that was it. If they want to charge 3 extra euros per person, they should at least put it on the bottom of every page like you do with VAT but no, this was no different from cheating us out of our money. We already paid for an expensive meal and as customers who are giving THEM money, it’s right for us to know what we’re paying for. This is essentially a tourist trap and if they told us beforehand or didn’t say that every restaurant in Venice did the same (which was not the case so far with us) we would’ve left a...
Read more🚩🚩Discriminatory Behavior 🚩🚩 I recently dined at Ristorante Pesciolino D'oro and unfortunately, my experience was marred by discriminatory behavior from the waiter, who appeared to be a 40-50-year-old Asian, possibly Chinese man. Upon arrival, we were informed that seating would cost 9 euros, with a not-so-polite suggestion to opt for takeout instead. Despite expressing our preference for dining in, the waiter insisted he had already placed a takeout order on our behalf, which clearly wasn't the case as he was occupied with another customer at the time. As we waited outside for our supposed takeout, we were further told we couldn't occupy any of the vacant seats intended for dining customers, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. This unwelcoming treatment overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable...
Read moreThe food is average, the ambiance is average. The wine is incredibly OVERPRICED!! Ask the price before ordering. We ordered the Vino di Casa, usually good and very reasonably priced in Italy (even in Venezia). The server, instead of bringing us a half carafe of the house wine, brought us a half bottle of Sangiovese. It was good, but we were shocked when the bill came and it was 25 Euro for a half bottle! Plus, they charged us 6 Euro cover charge, not unusual but you usually get something for it - bread, bread sticks. We received niiente, nothing. Would Not go back, and would Not recommend this restaurant. There are too many GREAT restaurants where they don’t over charge and the food and wine are of...
