OUTSTANDING IN ALL RESPECTS. Second best meal during our 17 day trip through Italy. We picked this restaurant based on location, reviews and our independent review of the menu before making our booking. From the time we entered until we departed we were treated with respect, admiration and patience. Our waiter, Natali, and his assistant, Salam, were professional, courteous, quick to answer questions, and did not try to oversell or pressure us for menu items. We started with the octopus salad which was amazing and easily large enough for two with the octopus cooked to perfection, complimented by a bottle of their house red wine, En Goto a Montindon red, which was good and a reasonable 18 euros. My wife's primi dish was black squid ink pasta with cuttlefish for my wife which she was craving and found it to be divine. I enjoyed seafood pasta that was a bit spicy, but then I can handle Thai level spicy foods. The pasta portions were sufficiently sized and with our starter and could have been a complete dinner, but I already ordered a secondo dish of grilled pork chop that had good flavor but was cut to thin and slightly overcooked. The evening meal finished with a complimentary lemoncello. A nice touch that we appreciated. The cover charge was a total of 5 euros for both of us, so unlike the previous night's restaurant which slammed us with a 10 euro per person cover. Thank you Natali and Salam, and of...

€90 euro for two people: a shared bottle of water, a very small bottle of terrible house wine, and a starter and two main dishes. I get the table fee, but to be charged for the tiny lame dishes of ham and bagged chips on the table is insane. The food is extremely average for what I paid.
The moment that I saw that there was not a single local and only tourists, and a separate menu only in English with large pictures of the dishes…I should have known it was a tourist trap. They also seem to “sell” the restaurant on the fact two celebrities ate there and their reviews became highly rated. Very fishy. There’s gotta be people they’re paying for these good reviews. I think their shtick is that they prey mostly on tourists, and their returning service and customer loyalty is not necessary since they’ll never see them again and they can max out the amount of money on them, and as long as they can look good on the reviews, they will continue to be able to prey...
Read moreWell here we go with another Venice restaurant. I got a steak with green pepper sauce and my wife got some kind of noodle dish. My steak looked so yummy but the small steak was dry and grainy despite being covered in this yummy looking sauce which turned out to be 90% mustard. It was COMICAL it was so bad and it was 31 Euros with potatoes. My wife's pasta was about 4 minutes more cooking away from being al dente and was quite chewy. Owner was nice although when we asked to sit at a more private table he said they fully booked like every other restaurant says in Venice but they are all lying. They just want to control where you sit. The very next couple that walked in got the table I asked for without a reservation. I realize others might get different food than us and might have a better experience so I won't 1 star this place but my experience with the...
