Verde Bistro — Restaurant in Venice

Please do not eat here! We were leaving Venice and needed somewhere to go for a little before our train. We did not look up this restaurants reviews before eating there and it is the only restaurant we did not do research. The bathrooms are disgusting, and there’s flies flying all around the bathroom and the restaurant and everything is sticky. There was also no soap in the bathroom. I should have just left when I saw the condition of the bathrooms but figured it was okay since the restaurant had a lot of people in it. I should have followed my gut. I am 100% sure this is where we got food poisoning from since it’s the only restaurant we ate at that was dirty, has prior reviews for food poisoning and makes sense time line wise to when we got sick. We are now desperately ill in Milan unable to leave our room, and I’m guessing a large number of other people who ate there that day are also ill. Do yourself a favor and please go to another restaurant so you don’t ruin part of your trip or end up ill on...

This is by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had! Besides the extremely rude waiter, below is a list of ways in which this restaurant showed that they could not care less about their patrons: Ordered pancakes, received white bread. When we queried the waiter literally pretended not to hear us the first time and then acted as if we were stupid and don’t know what pancakes are. We were eventually brought pancakes. Ordered pineapple juice, received peach juice. When we queried the waiter he again said nothing, rolled his eyes, took the peach juice away and slammed it down on the counter. Ordered tea, received hot water with no tea bag or milk. Asked for tea bag and milk, and eventually received a tea bag. Received milk when asked a third time. Ordered avo sandwich, received dry white bread with about a tablespoon of brown avo in the middle and an egg on top.

Avoid!!! is no reason why you would ruine your mood with this place. I was there just 15 min ago and imagine how bad it was if I m taking 20 min right now to right about them. I went inside to order and one of the guys at the bar were very very very rude. Not paying attention to me..than playing stupid when I asked about a large beer than probably cursed me in italian. 5 min later I found out why it was like this...because if you order at the table they charge you 1 eur per sandwich more which stands for a tip, but why to act like this. Anyway it riune my appetite and my whole mood. In conclusion AVOID this place!!! there are many arround it with the same food which anyway is nothing special more...
