Fantastic location. Super close to St Marks Square and has lots of shops and eating places on the same little street. ||Women on reception was so lovely, can’t remember her name, but she spent a couple minutes each morning asking what we had planned for the day and gave us some really helpful tips for navigating around the city. For newcomers to Venice this was really useful. ||Yes, you do have to climb about a dozen steps to get to reception to check in before you get to the lift but this really wasn’t much of a problem. ||Rooms was small, yes, but it is central Venice, so that’s what you expect. We had an amazing view of the top of the St Marks Bell Tower from our room. We were on the 3rd floor. A/C worked a treat. ||Only gripe was there isn’t any mini bar or tea/coffee making facilities. No kettle, no teabags or coffee, no waters in the room. This wasn’t too much of a problem but as a Brit I do love a tea after a long day, even in Venice. And DONT USE THE COFFEE MACHINE. It’s €1 a go and it dispenses only about a thimble size of luke warm water each time. So don’t bother ||Final thing, there was hardly any storage space in the room. We had a tiny little wardrobe, but no drawers or shelves to store clothes. Just something to bear in mind. ||Would definitely recommend and...
Read moreOur high rating is based on the incredible balcony/ terrace that overlooks tile roofs with a view of the top of the Campanile and St. Mark's. We enjoyed mornings, some afternoons, and evenings enjoying the incredible view and nice breeze. ||Isabella checked us in and was incredibly helpful with tips and recommendations. All of the employees were also very helpful and friendly to us. The hotel seemed very clean too.||The room was nice with a vaulted ceiling and original looking beams, nice bathroom, hairdryer, closet, water kettle for coffee or tea, and mini-fridge. The air condition worked very well in our room. There was also a nice terrace on the lobby level.||Breakfast was nice as pictured. Ask for the croissants and cappuccino. It was not included for us but only 10 euros. Would be nice to have air conditioning in the breakfast room. They said they were remodeling for next season.||Note the stairs up from the street, no problem for us, but may be for others.||The location was also incredible. About 100 yards from the San Zaccharia docks, and very close to St. Mark's.||Rooms are small in Europe, stairwells aren't always air-conditioned, but the 3rd floor balcony/terraces make this...
Read moreRefreshingly clean and 3 minutes walking from piazza san marco and the vaporetto station C if you travel from st lucia train station. The room is sound proof and very quite, you dont get disturbed by neightbours. Note the rooms here are all newly redecorated, floors are laminated, all super clean ,you can smell the clean as soon as you enter the hotel and your room! So forget about the dusty heavy curtains and carpets, very typical in the majority of the hotels in Venice , which normally makes the rooms very smelly of humid, old and dusty, forget old furniture and come to this hotel if you want to sleep in a clean and hygenic place. The bathroom with walk in shower was very clean and house keeping is daily, they change everything for you. The staff is smiley, friendly, always there to help you. From the reception to the breakfast room. I will definitelly come back here!
Everything was perfect, but just a note in case you have some mobility issues, which was not my case: access to the reception is located on the first floor and there is no lift to it so you need to walk up the stairs to the first floor. But once there , there is a lift available to access the other...
