Careful friends,
the owner and the managers, they are no trustworthy people in this locality. It was a RIP OFF for us and we were treated unprofessionally, unfair and unfriendly. I just thought, this is a little problem in Italy like in Milano. We were treated like money sacks not like guests after we had criticized the food.
In this steak House they want to play with you. We wanted to order t-bone steaks which is very well known for that region. But due to availability the nice waitress suggested us to take a tomahawk. So We ordered a Tomahawk Steak which is known to have almost no fat parts. We didn't look at the steak very well. We never had problems with steak houses at all like in Germany, England, Spain or France in our past holidays. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. So we came in happily and enthusiastic without caring too much. After a while the steak was shown to us, but we didn't care to check if everything is OK. Normally you can trust people in steak houses. We never thought that we would get cheated. Honestly, we trusted those persons to let the magic work in the restaurant ;) So we ordered that tomahawk of 2,4kg for 180€ which was presented to us.
What we didn't knew and didn't realize was that there was a heavy fat part of 50% of the volume of the steak! The bone was 40-50cm strong instead of 20-30cm which you see and can expect everywhere else where you can enjoy tomahawk steaks in such steak houses.
When the steak was ready, we realized that we were tricked by the manager and did a heavily wrong decision to trust those people.
A certain manager came to try to fix the problem. He had seen and realized what type of bad meat it was and he offered us quickly a solution of a discount. So we ordered the cheque and we realized that again we were tricked and betrayed. The discount was not mentioned in the bill. The managers looked to us. All the process we had eye to eye contact. They thought that we wouldn't check the bill. I asked again for the promised discount which let me felt like being a beggar. At the end, the manager he didn't want to give us the promised discount. It was a lie. So I fought for it and we got a discount of only 10€. Haha. So we had to pay for 170€ FOR effectively nearly 500g.
By the way, I have to admit that the waiters were nice and well educated. But the grillers and managers were not. After we criticized their food, the managers and the grillers were finger pointing and laughing at us. We felt displaced and just wanted to flee from this bad restaurant. That was not acceptable. This is not how to treat guests. We felt very uncomfortable there. We felt heavily betrayed and they lied to us.
You can see the picture. That was our so called 2.4kg Tomahawk medium grilled with, let's say, 400g bone and ca 500g meat. Rest fluid, blood and that FAT which shouldn't be there in that amount.
On top, In this restaurant, the grillers have to learn not to stare in that heavy way at our nice, tall and blonde ladies. Behave and look on the ground! We recognized the starings, but we tolerated it with a negative feeling. This is rude and does not belong to a well educated employee nor to anyone. The more we visit Italian restaurants in bigger cities the more we think that those Italians are all almost the same. Unfriendly, not behaving, lieing, staring, treating us like money bags.
The situation and the character of the people but the waitresses suits very well to...
Read moreWe went there for dinner and let me tell you. The atmosphere was great, the music was between the 80s, some Rock , just right for the night. The service was A+ , they spoked Italian and English making it really easy for us. We took the butcher tasting menu and it was stellar. We started with “ offered by the house “ fried meatballs made of aged beef on a sweet and sour sauce that was “ pungente “ and just spot on, as appetizer we had 3 meatballs on a carbonara airy and fluffy cream souce with some onions ( I think those were like pickled and caramelized ) or maybe the guanciale was caramelized I couldn’t understand it and fresh micro basil with home made warm bread and focaccia, for first dish we had homemade pappardelle al ragù ( with aged meet sauce ) and grana padano ( a more Nordic version of parmigian cheese ) and as main course we had the ultimate steak , 1kg 2 inches steak, bone in cooked as it should be nice and red in the center with roasted potatoes and a paprika mayo . We were suggested to try some red wine that was epic with this meal ;) … we couldn’t finish everything and at that point came the pre dessert , a white chocolate blue cheese ball with a vinegary reduction that surprised me like “ omg “ this was just what i wanted after such a rich meal . We finished with the tiramisu that was great but a bit too wet for my taste even if the flavors were on point. We are going to make this restaurant one of ours place to go for dinners . Really outstanding service , extremely nice and talented young chefs and a super quality of meats . I saw they serve many special cuts and types of meat life “ diaframma “ and “ Wagyu “ Japanese beef . If you know you know . Thank you for the great dinner guys we will be back with more friends next time...
