Update to reflect the hotel’s response: That response came across as dismissive and failed to address the service deficiencies I raised. Most of the issues I outlined were not acknowledged at all, which reflects poorly on how this hotel is trained to handle guest feedback.
The hotel photographs well, but when you look past the surface, the execution falls short of what you’d expect from an established luxury brand (Four Seasons, Rosewood, etc.).
Room Blackout blinds were too short to fully darken the space. The bathroom door creaked loudly enough to wake my partner at night. Details were missing: no dimmable lights, awkward Bluetooth speakers, limited and poorly placed outlets, no in-room tea. Water from the tub faucet initially ran grey, likely from unflushed pipes. Towels, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, and even bedding didn’t feel premium. The toilet paper was surprisingly low quality.
Service & Facilities Check-in was disorganized: no acknowledgment when we arrived, as the staff were absorbed with a group. For a small hotel, the process would have been more fitting in a seated lounge rather than cramped at the counter. I was seated and then somebody flagged me down to come to the counter. This set a hilariously bad first impression. We were asked if we needed late checkout. Initially we declined, but when we changed our mind, we were told it was unavailable Service was kind of hilariously bad besides the main woman receptionist (Alessandro) who was excellent. bell staff, housekeeping turnover, male receptionist, male bar host/server seemed undertrained and lacked a genuine service mindset. We literally laughed out loud at how bad and unfriendly they were. I could cite so many examples of how bad they were. This was such a contrast with our previous night in ortisei. Spa facilities weren’t proactively maintained. the steam room was off until we requested it, and the snack station wasn’t properly stocked (no spoons for the dried fruit, etc.).
These details matter for a hotel in this tier. This isn’t comparable to the FS. It’s honestly shocking how bad service was besides the excellent female receptionist. The negative things I mentioned above can easily be fixed with minimal investment, so it’s disappointing how they’re an issue...
Read moreVista Verona, part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, offers exactly the kind of charm you'd hope for in a boutique stay—a little slice of elegance with just the right dash of "cute." Nestled in the heart of Verona, it feels like the sort of place where Romeo himself might have booked a room for some quality post-banishment relaxation.
The décor is modern yet cozy, with thoughtful touches that make you feel like you’re staying in a friend’s chic apartment rather than a hotel. Think: plush bedding, soft lighting, and tasteful design choices that make every corner Instagrammable without being over the top. The views? Absolutely stunning—there’s something magical about sipping your morning espresso while gazing out over the rooftops of Verona.
Service is attentive but not intrusive, with a staff that’s always ready with a recommendation for a hidden gem or a little insider knowledge about the city. It’s clear they take pride in making guests feel at home.
Breakfast is a delightful affair—think fresh pastries, local cheeses, and perfectly brewed coffee—served in a bright, airy dining room that almost dares you to linger longer than you should.

Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful time there. We had no problem finding the hotel by car. The check-in was smooth despite many arrivals all at the same time. We got introduced to the hotel and presented the room, and they kindly upgraded us. We had lunch on the rooftop terrace. The food was great, and also the cocktails! The view is amazing! The hotel assisted us with the dinner reservation and recommended a great restaurant! The facilities are great. The room amenities are perfect. When we left, they offered us some water and snacks for the road, it came as a surprise and was highly appreciated.
Overall, we had a wonderful time there, and we have decided to keep this hotel for our next time in Verona! , which we hope will be next...
