Ci Sta - Verona — Restaurant in Verona

So, this is going to be a great review, get ready. We booked this “cute-looking” place via The Fork. Little did we know that what they have in cuteness they lack in quality of service. Tables were not cleaned, so the waitresses (that did no want to work) simply refused all the people that wanted a table to have lunch, even though it was only 1pm. We were lucky enough to have made reservation via The Fork, but not lucky enough to eat. The two girls working are always on their phone and looking like they can’t be bothered. We asked for 2 pizzas only, no appetizers, and after 1 hour and 40 minutes, no pizzas came. Needless to say that before us, other 4 tables left due to tue long waiting time. In that lunch time we were the 5th table leaving. And you want to know the best part? They did not even say sorry. We paid for our beer and left, after waiting for almost 2 hours. We booked Ci Sta - Verona via The Fork 15 days in advance with a 50% discount. We arrived 10 minutes early and asked for our reservation, but the woman at the restaurant told us there was no reservation under our name. When I showed her the confirmation, she insisted it wasn’t there—until I asked her to remove a filter from her screen, and then magically, our reservation appeared.

This is unacceptable. If your restaurant can’t afford to honor the discounts you offer, simply don’t offer them.

The experience didn’t improve from there. The food was average, tables weren’t clean, glasses had stains, and we had to ask twice for an extra fork after our baby dropped one. The overall service felt cold and indifferent—perhaps because of the discount.

Siamo stati in questo locale l'altro giorno nel corso di una gita giornaliera a Verona. Abbiamo scelto questa pizzeria per via della posizione centrale e della presenza su the fork (con sconto del 30%). Purtroppo non posso dirmi soddisfatto del posto per una serie di ragioni, quasi tutte dovute al servizio lento e scarso. Innanzitutto, nonostante la prenotazione, abbiamo dovuto attendere non poco per accomodarci al tavolo e dopodiché abbiamo dovuto attendere un'altra ora contata per poter mangiare le nostre pizze. I bagni sono solo due: uno solo per uomini e uno misto donne/uomini/disabili (scelta curiosa che non avevo mai visto. Ad ogni modo è un bagno angusto, un po' sporco (quindi nessun cameriere si occupa di darci un colpo di mocio durante il servizio) e molto molto buio. La sala è piccola ma è densa di coperti (si finisce per mangiare a ridosso dei tavoli altrui), i tavolini sono piccolissimi per mangiare delle pizze e soprattutto le sedie sono da bambini, con una seduta estremamente scomoda e sacrificata. Non viene neanche voglia di rimanere a bere un caffè dopo aver mangiato. Si paga e si scappa. Merito alle pizze che, nonostante non ti cambino la vita, sono largamente sopra la sufficienza e anche la varietà del menù, che presenta alcune proposte interessanti. Purtroppo chi era con me ha trovato casualmente in un pezzo della sua mozzarella un filo di plastica abbastanza spesso, di quelli che si usano per legare le mozzarelle, il che è davvero un brutto segno per quel che riguarda l'igiene del locale e l'attenzione verso i propri clienti. In ultimo in cassa, non ci stavano applicando lo sconto con cui avevamo prenotato, per fortuna lo abbiamo fatto presente, ma anche qui un'altra mancanza. Insomma nel complesso un posto che sarebbe potuto essere buono e soddisfacente, ma irrimediabilmente rovinato da un ambiente e un servizio decisamente insufficienti. Non ci tornerei...
