Casa del Caffè — Restaurant in Verona

Very bad and disrespectful place. We bought gelato and went to sit down to eat, but they told us that for the price we paid, we couldn't sit there. The place was empty, so we weren't taking up space for new customers. Besides, it would have taken us only 5 minutes to eat and leave. They didn’t ask us beforehand if we wanted to sit or inform us of any minimum price requirement. As for the gelato, it was the worst I had during my 10 days in Italy, between Rome, Padua, Venice, and Verona. Completely artificial and almost tasteless. Terrible. I don't recommend it due to the treatment, lack of information, and poor quality...

Lilian, our lovely server, was amazing! It was her first day at work and she didn't speak too much English but was phenomenal at trying to understand and service our needs for no cheese and meat in certain dishes. She has fabulous tattoos and personality and 100%made our evening. The food and drinks were excellent value for money and was delicious. A glorious end to a lovely week spent in Verona. Stopped in at this little cafe whilst waiting for someone. lots of choices in the cabinets of things to eat, but maybe next time? Service was quick and efficient, and with shaded tables outside makes for a useful stop at the end of Via Capello, if your feet are tired.
