Statue of Juliet — Attraction in Verona

If it were not for Shakespeare then the courtyard would be like many others in Verona. Without the fame of the play Romeo and Juliet I doubt this courtyard would be visited in great numbers. The statue is iconic and interesting to see, but the lack of organization makes the experience less enjoyable. Everyone wants to have their picture taken with the statue and of course the number of people around the statue is large. There is no one to organise the line and order of who will go next, therefore, it is an organised chaos....

3 stelle, ma non per la statua che è veramente bella e posizionata in maniera suggestiva nel cortile dove possiamo vedere il balcone famoso legato alla ancor più famosa storia Shakespeariana: 3 stelle perchè è triste vedere una moltitudine di persone farsi la foto toccando il seno della statua di Giulietta, sotto gli occhi dei sorveglianti/custodi di questa area turistica. Non ci vedo goliardia nel toccare una sedicenne, simbolo della storia d'amore per eccellenza, in questo periodo dove ci mostriamo tanto sensibili all'argomento della violenza sulle donne, contro le molestie, e a favore del femminismo, ma vedo solo una grande contraddizione a questi concetti e un cattivo gusto in generale. Ma tutti si sentono spiritosi nel fare questo tipo di foto, piuttosto che credono in qualche fortunata occasione che sicuramente si presenterà per aver palpato un seno di bronzo. Che tra l'altro non è nemmeno l'originale....ma tanto figurarsi...
