Stumbled into this restuarant to escape a thunderstorm. BREADSTICKS waiting on the table to be GOBBLED... Unlike the usual restaurant experience where you are herded like chattel, forced to stare a dirty rectangle of cardboard and "select" a menu item, and then expected to GOBBLE down your food like an animal at its trough, La Greppia truly plays on our desire to return to eden. it seems waiters n waitresses are always tryin to test me...avoiding eye contact, slinkin around in the back..."oh do you need more water sir?" - YEAH SIX FREAKIN MINUTES AGO anyway, not so at La Greppiano, an old style ristorante, where the service isn't afraid to treat you like family, soothing your needs, whatever they may be. The staff brings you into a state of maternal comfort... tender were the carrot shreds upon the mixed greens.. ... shivering with shame and ecstasy... so much to discover... i am not finished... yes, i claw for more... i am human again finito. THE food morsels that were stuck in between my teeth became unhinged in the night, reminding me of the truly scrumptious meal at LA GREPPIANO. eat there and you will understand, but...

We ended up dining at Al Greppia after our original restaurant cancelled — and what a blessing in disguise that turned out to be. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely exceptional.

The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about both the food and wine. We felt truly welcomed and cared for throughout the evening.

The wine list was extensive and thoughtfully curated, with options to suit every taste. Our server offered expert recommendations, and each pairing elevated the meal beautifully.

As for the food — it was simply to die for. We shared the triple pasta tasting, which showcased impeccable technique and flavour. The stewed horse and braised beef cheeks were rich, tender, and deeply satisfying. Every dish was a celebration of Veronese tradition done with finesse and soul.
